Dentist Question

If it were my kid, I'd call the Pitt Dental school and tell them that you were there the other day for treatment, and ask to speak to one of the Drs that supervises. Each one of those students has to have an instructor that is a licensed dentist to learn from, and who supervises the student. Explain to them what is happening with your daughter. Before you call, try and take note if the discomfort occurs when eating/drinking something cold (or hot). Sometimes a tooth gets cold (or heat) sensitive when it's been worked on, esp if it was a cavity that was close to the nerve inside. It may be too that the cavities were close to the gum line and the gum is irritated. I would talk to them though to get their input. Let us know what you find out, and good luck! Oh, when she complains, try putting a warm washcloth on her face in the area of where it hurts, I know when I have that happen it helps.

I'd say go to a Dentist who isn't a student. If she's complaining that it does hurt they could have missed something or made the problem even worse. You can never know until a professional looks at it. So I'd just take her in and see what the doctor says and if it's nothing, then it's nothing. If anything, the teeth will eventually fall out. My husband just said that if they used a metal filling then her teeth might become more sensitive because it's near the nerves. If she's reacting to something like a cold or hot drink. My son had his fillings done and they had placed a medicine on before the filling went it to numb the nerve. But either way, if she's getting really irritated with then you'll need to talk to a dentist about it.

Most Dental Schools, if not all have well qualified dentists overseeing the student's work. I would not hesitate to call them and ask for a free exam and xray of the teeth to make sure everything is OK. With children of your daughter's age this might be nothing more than that she remembers these are the teeth that did hurt and complaining gets her some attention. Nothing wrong with that, just being a kid :).

Hello! Teeths will be change when your daughter grow up,but maybe you can go with her to a dentist and talk about your problem.Usually kids have cavities because they eat sweets.And they have same problem with new teeths too.Talk with a dentist is my advice.Happy lotting!
