How many do you e-mail? I send about 60 cards each year. It is a big process.

I don't understand the Christmas cards thing. It evolves into an obligatory ritual that doesn't mean anything. When you're working off a list and sending these things off assembly-line style, what is the point?

I agree. I do about 300 for work and yes, that is obligatory. The personal ones I send are for friends and family and I include personal notes in each one. I love keeping in touch!

I do it for friends and family, not as an obligation. And I write a personal message in each one, so it's not assembly line. Some people do handle Christmas cards that way, but I wouldn't want to do it. For people in business they pretty much need to send out cards to clients, customers, etc. to stay in touch and thank them for their business (and try to get more), that would be a drag to have to do that.

I send quite a few each year. I probably send about 30-40. Used to send lots more before I got divorced, but not as many now. I cut a bunch of those people off the list when the ex went bye-bye.

About 30-40 for me. I include a personal message in each one, so it can be time consuming, but it's a good way to keep in touch with people and stay up to date, and to wish them a happy holiday season.

I agree. I always try and say something personal to each person. It means more that way. And if you do that, I find most often, they include a personal note for me as well.

I never mail Christmas cards. I just did this year and I probably mailed about 20 of them. I added pictures of my daughter in them that people should have gotten 3 months ago but the company we ordered our pictures from is not a very good one so it took 3 months to get our announcements and pictures. I was excited to send cards this year though.

Sad, I know. I don't send any. I'll call my mother and sister and wish them Merry Christmas and that is it.

I don't mail that many anymore. I used to mail about 30-40 I guess. I will send one to my dad and give a few to friends at church. That will be about it.
