Hi careguarden! Yes, I do wear reading glasses and glasses for everything else. I just got new glasses about 2 weeks ago and am still trying to get used to them. They are alot stronger than my last pair because it had been about 4 years since I had them changed! I also got another pair "just to see" glasses. That's what I call them! I wear them to walk and do everything else except to "read"!lol

You need to be changed your reading glasses every year because according to my friend that the glasses had changed if she is right. Wow, you really protect your eyes from damaged. very good opal. It's good to hear that you have lots of pair of glasses and you need either which one you choose to use. thanks for sharing your comments with us and have a nice day ahead Godbless

I use reading glasses because I can't see that close without them. I don't know what lutien is, but reading glasses don't protect your eyes from anything except eye strain. I think you probably mean lutein and that's protected by making sure you have a proper diet.

Lutein is the part of our eyes that protect our eyes from the blurring. So we need to make sure that when we read we need a wear eye glasses. For me, I always used eye glasses because it has a UV protection. Good for you because you wear eye glasses anytime if you keep on reading. thanks for sharing your comments with us and have a nice day ahead Godbless

Yes I do. I wear reading eyeglasses not only for protection but because my vision is now not normal. I have to wear it to make me comfortable with my readings.

I have been reading for years since I was in high school but during those years I read without any reading glasses. I started having difficult in reading the characters in the books when I turned 42, thus I started bought a reading glass for me. I'm now 43 and as I type this comment, my reading glasses is safely tucked inside my bag. My sight is still ok but I have to wear the glasses when the fonts are too small for me to decipher. So wearing of reading glasses at an early age doesn't assure in protecting the lutein in your eyes. Good eyesight has something to do with one's genes I believe.
