Walmart/Western Union Mysteryshops

If you get a offer to do a Walmart and Western Union Mysteryshop DON'T do it. Its a huge scam. The mysteryshop says they will give you 200.00 to spend at Walmart and give you another check to wire to some other person. True blue mysteryshops will never ever pay you up front to do a job, or would they ever ask you to wire money some place. Stay away from these shops like the plague.. Many are getting ripped off with this scam. The checks they send look soo real, and many banks accept these checks, just to be returned back to your account with lack of suffecient funds. You take the chance of getting jail time, even if your innocent. Also you will have to pay your bank the bounced check fees. Please beware of these scams. If something is too good to be true, it usually is. There is no such thing as making $200-$300 an hour to do a mysteryshop, especially for not doing much...

Thank you very much for the information. I will do my best to not get scammed by people like that. Did you get scammed by them? If you did, you are doing the right thing by telling the rest of MyLot. Have a great day!

Actually my mother in law almost got scammed recently by this. I used to do real mysteryshoping and know the in's and outs of it and so many reg flags popped up when she had told me about it. She was thrilled with the fact that she was gonna make 200.00 bucks. I had to convince her it was a scam......Why would someone that you don't know send you two hundred dollars to go shop....Real mysteryshops pay after, never before.

Yes I have been sent several of these emails. I was also sent a scam survey email before along the same lines. So many wicked people out there these days! Thanks for sharing and Happy MyLotting!

Good thing you informed us about this. At least we can be careful with what to believe in when it comes to opportunities online. I'm sure there are so many content online but there are tons of useless content as well.

That actually happened to my daughter-in-law a few years ago. Her bank cashed the check, then waited about three weeks to go after her. She had to cancel her account and thankfully an agreement was made over payback of the check fees and all. The people who sent her the check were never caught, either. So many scams out there, it's awful! Thanks for posting this warning, too!

I have heard of so many scams involving money transfers via Western Union. I would think that on some ocassions you may earn $200-$300 an hour for mystery shopping but certainly not regularly.
