Why Do some people like to be in guinness world record

Why Do some people like to be a record holder.as we know guinness has the record of all record holding of anything.from the tallest buildings, tallest man, smallest animals and etc.i do like to know about it.but I'm not interested to know who made the biggest pizza, the biggest burger, bread, spaghetti and so forth. There are so many who will try to top the previous records and i don't think anyone will bother to know them anyways.

I'd say a sense of fame is one reason. Even if you don't become a big celebrity, sooner or later someone will look your name up in the book and see that you hold the record for something. So your name is immortalized. Also, a sense of accomplishment. Even if it's for something silly, if you can say you hold the record for something, you can say you were better than anyone else. At least as long as no one else beats the record.

yeah they got recognized and written on the book of world records. but does any one bother to read or know them. so i don't know if it does make them popular at all.

I do wonder a lot of the time what inspires these people to go for these records. There has to be a lot of the time where there are someone going a bit of fame. Still, I really do wonder where it begins. Looking at some of those records, I just wonder what inspired someone to even go for them in the first place. That is quite the interesting thing to think about. I doubt that many of those records will be broken, but I am sure there are people out there that would try. There are always be people out there that try.
