Yeah im a chess player back then too. I liked the game since it is really challenging and makes you think hard. But i think in regards to being intelligent, i gotta say some are good at certain games and some arent but that doesnt mean they are not intelligent. And that games with other games too regardless if its physcical or a board game. We all have talents, strengths and weaknesses.

Chess is perfect game, i am rated player - And to question of intelligence. Chess can be learnt and skilled by praxis - means u dont have to be genius to excel in chess - i know many good chessplayers and u wouldnt never tell about them they are intelligent - although some IQ required , dont have to be even over 110 to excel :)
If u have some questions about chess game i will be more than happy to respond. Greetings Mirets

I am not really good at chess.
Intelligence is not only measured by you analytical or logical skills.
Hence IQ vs EQ. You must have both.
One prime example would be:
If your really good in your academics but really stink at real life, I would say that you are IQ is high but you EQ is low. Thus making you Intelligent academically but stupid when it comes to real life situations.
cheers.
