Jermaine Defoe scored an hat trick as England comprehensively thrashed Bulgaria. Adam Johnson scored his first international goal to add the fourth goal for England. The match also had good contributions from Joe Hart in the goal, Theo Walcott and Milner. So has the next generation taken over in the team England? What are your views on this performance? Cheers! Ram

Yes, I think Rooney is more effective playing off a striker, so in that manner Defoe and Rooney are better combination than Heskey and Rooney. Cheers! Ram

Go England! My close friend is English , my ex was English and besides I love The English, lol! You didn't mention Wayne or any of the " stars" who were in the World Cup so... I guess the youngsters are taking over.

Yes, Rooney was not too hot in this match, but did come into his own in the second qualifier for England. Cheers! Ram

Joe Hart must have kept for England in the world cup !. He is a young , promising keeper . Was Walcott included the squad against Bulgaria ..if not ..then he should have been included. He is in great touch . But I always prefer experience , so senior players should not be regretted at any stage! Bulgaria has berbatov in their team . Still , they can't make a piece ..shameful !!

Yes, one of the many mistakes that Capello made during the world cup. Joe Hart and Theo Walcott were the most obvious mistakes. Not playing Defoe in the first match against USA was another. Cheers! Ram

I thought that England played well but they also played well in qualifying for the world cup. I think that Joe Hart played well and will probably be Englands keeper for a good time to come.

Yes, Joe Hart has come a long way in the last one year. Completely from nowhere he is no. 1 keeper for England and also keeps Shay Given out of the goal for Man City!! Cheers! Ram

While there are a few new faces, the core of the team remain unchanged. Rooney, Gerrard, Lampard, Defoe and Terry. But if the new faces can consistently perform at the highest level, then England is in good hands. One problem thou, England seem to perform when it matters most. Take the World Cup for example. They qualified for the finals with an almost perfect record. But then, when the actual action starts, they choked on the stage. This seem to be their biggest problems. I seriously does not think that the lack of a winter break which is said to cause the players to feel fatigue and thus affect their performance.

Yes, and that is going to be the big question that Capello would need to answer at the Euros. If England has a bad or sub standard Euro, then Capello definitely would be out. Cheers! Ram

I haven't seen the game, but I heard that England played a very good game, and Rooney was the leader of the team. England usually plays very good at home, they are exuberant and they trash many teams. But at major competition they cannot make a good figure and go home early. I think that the pressure of the crowd gives them an extra strength and also weaken the opponent. But I always said that English players are not so talented, but they are very good trained and have lots of power. They play kick and run and power play. At least that is my opinion. Of course there are a few exceptions here and there, but they are play more from their fitness, than from their talent.

Yes, you definitely cannot compare the likes of Bulgaria to the likes of teams that are likely to be at hand in major competitions such as World Cup. Cheers! Ram
