Just when we thought French football cannot go lower, they lose to Belarus in the Euro Qualifiers. To be fair France had majority of the possession, but were toothless in front of the goal, and Belarus made them pay with a sucker punch three minutes from time which sealed the deal. Laurent Blanc was left lamenting the fact that his two striker Malouda and Saha have 4 international goals each to show!! Do you think France will manage to qualify for the Euros or do you think they will fail even to do so? Cheers! Ram

Are these the same players and coaches who tanked in the World Cup? If so, they Will go even lower. If there are other guys , then there is hope. I seems like whatever made them Want to leave the World Cup is Still there. either they need to get new players or new coaches. These guys can't get along. Is it that the players think they know better than the coaches? or is it the coaches trying to show their power over the players. Either way it is not working. If the French officials who formed this mess are a stubborn as I think they are , they will just down lower and lower.

Thanks. This means France will be off the radar for a long while. It is sad. I still remember when they won the World Cup. Well At least I think I do . weren't they thew home team? In 1998?

No, most of them have been handed out bans. So in essence it was a B team of France if you may like. Even then they were supposed to beat the likes of Belarus!! Cheers! Ram

Yes, they were the home team in 1998. But even with the home advantage, they had some brilliant players like Zizou and Henry!! Cheers! Ram

France team are total downfall for last few years. They are in absloute mess. The way they are playing seems impossible for them to qualify. French team has to do something drastic to improve on theri prformance. i still some of the players in the french team are very talented.

If they do not qualify for the Euros, that would be deemed as a bigger disaster then their showing at the world cup!! Cheers! Ram

actually iam happy that laurent blanc aware that mexes is one of the best defenders. but iam sad because even with mexes, france is stil lost...but i realize that football is not individual sports...this is team sports...this is big blow for blanc and france team off course but i know blanc didnt have much time to repair his time..too much problems from domenech.and now france didnt have a great forward after benzema lost his finishing touch and henry, treze and wiltord had retire from national team...many problems for blanc i think

The French international team was nothing to shout about until the emergence of Zidane and co which won the World Cup in 1998 and Euro 2000. Since then, it is going downwards. The recent World Cup confirm the fall from grace and the team should be in limbo until they manage to find another group of talented players without the huge ego.

malouda and saha are not really strikers, france needs a good attacker.I guess they could qualify in their group, still, but let´s see what future will bring

I think the one good news coming into the French camp is the fact that Benzema is now available for the next match. So probably he could solve their striker issues!! Cheers! Ram
