This could only be an adult version of the kids' programme called "Rainbow!" Please do not think that the clip in the link below was ever shown to children because it wasn't...just as well really!
I don't suppose "Seseme Street" has done an adult innuendo version have they?

I have never heard of this "Rainbow" show, but it is still hilarious all the same.
I remember on comedy skit shows here in Australia, they used to do that sort of thing taking off Play School! It was very similar.

All the guys you see in the clip appear in the childrens' version which makes it even funnier. Usually, they are innocence personified but not on this occasion lol.
Do you get "Teletubbies" over there? Now, that is full of innuendo and it's the kids' version!

Worked fine for me and remember watching a clip of this x-rated version a few years back. You just can't help laugh especially if you have fond memories of Rainbow from childhood.
Can you imagine the outrage if this special private episode had been made public back at the end of the 70s when it was made. Actually scratch that can you imagine the outrage now if presenters of a childrens program made an innuendo fuelled adult version for private, they would all be arrested!

Yes, I know what you mean..and that Zippy used to get on my nerves. I was left thinking..why didn't they zip his gob up a bit earlier than they did lol. And why doesn't he unzip it if he's not happy with it being zipped up?! He was always picking on George, saying he was stupid. Couldn't get away with that now although Zippy did get shot down in flames regularly by the other members of the team.
I used to have a stripey jumper like those in the clip!
I'm sure I've seen another spoof Rainbow on a telethon years ago but this one will do, it's hilarious!
