Jena gets a job at a day care...how stupid is that?!

I mean come on... she has a criminal record! Regardless of any "experience" she might have, she can't work at a day care cause of her criminal record.Why did they make that her job? And if that wasn't enough.. she has no child related expereince and she isn't related to a Newman or Abbott (who get jobs all the time that they have no experience for) Come on writers...you can do better than that! I know is it is soap world, but still..

Are you serious about that? You mean they don't review at least the previous year's story lines? How stupid is that. Don't they realize we are smarter than that and want at least some common sense in our viewing!??!

Well that was really said with a healthy dose of sarcasm. Still it is possible that there are new writers. Or the writers just never thought of that. Or they don't think we will notice.
But I can't remember, was Jana fully pardoned? Because if she was, she doesn't have a record.

It made perfect sense if it was truth you spoke! I sure thought it could have been!
Well, yeah if she was. I don't remember. But still... it was all over town...reputation alone would say that if parents knew she was watching their kid...they'd pull the kid out. And since it happened again.. the tumor thing... just made her loose her feelings instead of going bonkers... when kids are involved... there's no difference. But again, I have to remember... it is soap world and the sky is only the beginning of the options available!

I was upset myself when Jana got the job at the preschool. I am a substute teacher and I had a criminal background check done. If one does commit a crime they cannot teach. I would think one would need experience in teaching or at least have an education background.

Well, I tend to forget... soap world is the opposite of the real world. Anything goes is the soapys. But still... they could be a little more attentive to some details of the real world. She had totally no experience or qualifications to be a teacher or daycare worker or anything like that. But again.. they had to keep her on the show and give her something to do to redeem herself. They should have just kept her at the coffee house and made her work her way back up and paid Kevin back the bail money and then gone out on her own or something... or those two back together.

I believe that Jena's record was cleared when they discovered the brain tumor so she could work there. She is an excellent person to choose for an art teacher as she does have much experience in the art field and I thought that this job was for that and not a daycare center.

It was for the day care center where Reed and Delia are going. Not much more than finger paint art going on there! It was just a dumb job for her to get. They could have done better.

And the principle said "You have alot of art experience"... wasn't her "art experience" involved in stealing art or something like that? I tuned in after a few years and started just as Jena was recuperating from trying to burn down the place Colleen and one of the guys was at.
