Memorizing the Verses...

A religious man went out on a ride boat in a lake. He wanted to start a conversation with the boat man so he asked the boat man, "My friend, do you memorize verses from the Bible?" The Boatman replied, "No brother, but I know what the meaning of the Bible is, Love, Peace and God's word." The religious man then said, "Oh my. If you dont memorize verses from the Bible, you miss half of your life". The boatman kept silent. A few minutes after that, the boat man asked the religious man, "Brother, do you know how to swim?" The religious man replied, "No, I never learned that." The boatman then said, "Oh my brother you miss your whole life, the boat is sinking."

this is a new translation to the story...it is very much applicable to the message of the story...kindness is definitely better rather than intelligence...it is easier to learn how to be intelligent than to learn how to be kind...thanks for the insight...^_^
