Having trouble meeting people who have the same interests as me

I am getting fed up with spending all my time alone and feel like life is passing me by. I have a lot of "friends" but I do not hang out with them anymore because all they want to do is watch TV, get drunk and play computer games. I find this boring and I have dozens of interests ranging from hiking to camping to boating and many others but I have no one to enjoy these things with. A lot of the things I like to do are too dangerous to do alone especially since I am a young woman and there are a lot of crazies out there so I end up not doing them as much as I would like. I spent years hanging out with my so-called friends doing the things they like doing but when it comes time for me to ask them to do something I like doing, they either come up with a dozen excuses or they downright refuse to join me.....are there ways for me to meet people who have the same interests as me. I have tried and tried but I keep meeting the same deadbeats who have no zest for life and I feel like life is passing me by as I sit here by myself not enjoying the things I enjoy doing....any suggestions??
