Does love & career cannot be mixed or combine?

In my life, I dont really believe in the saying that "Love & Career" cannot be mixed and combine. Until, it happened to me. I do not believe in this but it happened. I was in the peak of my career then, when I fell in love that much, unfortunately, the man I loved was not that successful. In short, the relationship did not worked.
What can you say about this, is love & career cannot be mixed or combine? Is there really a need to choose between these two - love & career - or should I say love or career?

Love and career can be mixed and matched. It depends on how you handle things, how prepared are you to commit to someone and also do not forget to pray for guidance that everything will be smooth sailing.
