Birthers are irrational all on the whole subject over Obama's birth certificate but now at lest one of them are demanding Obama's baptism record. I am sure that this person did not come up with this all on her or his own so there must be other like this person here on myLot. My question is why?

...Hi there gewcew. As someone said or alluded to, it doesn't matter what proof he has for whatever, they just want to play games. When he was in the Bapist church with the irrational preacher they criticised him, so for 20 years he sat there as a hidden Muslim? What next? He is not true to his Catholic religion? It's all insane. All I want him and his administration to show me are the jobs, get the jobs rolling, so the economy can perk up. These people have a lot of time on their hands when they should be working. Take care.

This is the best part of this whole thing, the same people that criticize Obama for attending a certain Christian church for 20 years are now trying to say that his is a Muslim.

...Hey, So correct. It's called pure insanity. There is no logic, that why I say it's all game playing. They don't want answers, while they follow nutsos like Palin, Beck and the vapor head Michele Bachman. Let a deep hole open up and take them to paradise quietly. "o) Take care.

I do not understand why it matters to anyone if he has been baptized or not. It also should not matter if he is Muslim or not. I truly do not care as long as he is doing the best that he can with what he stepped into and I feel that he has shown a lot of character during his term so far. I do not agree with everything he has done, but has there ever been a President that no one ever had a complaint about? Anyone who thinks that they can do better should sign up to run as President in the next election.

It was the Democrats who started the Birth Certificate issue when they challenged Senator McCain because he was not born in the US but in Panama, where his farther was stationed when in the military. If you want to go back even further to when Senator Goldwater, also from AZ. He was born in AZ before it became a state and some people felt that he was therefore not a natural born citizen. Once Senator McCain was challenged then some Republicans wanted to see Senator Obama's Birth Certificate. When they went looking they found that it was sealed along with his college records and his writings. As they looked deeper his legal billings were sealed along with his papers from the Illinois Senate. I think it was a brilliant strategy to get everyone trying to find the birth certificate and not looking at the man, his background and friends. It was not until he became President and started spending like crazy that people started to look at his policies and who he had taken on as advisers. As a post note Bill O'Reilly did find the Birth Announcement in the Honolulu newspaper. Either some one back then knew that he would need cover or conspiracy is so good that they can go back and change newspaper stories.

A newspaper announcement means nothing. I could call up the local paper and have an announcement put in for my beautiful newborn grandson. Means nothing other than announcing his birth. Threw in an announcement of my own there. LOL

I have no idea where my Baptism Cert is, my daughter got Baptized last year and we didnt get a certificate. I think the biggest problem here is that he SHOULD produce his birth certificate to all of the Secretaries of States. This IS a requirement. He should not have to show everybody in America, just the people to certify elections. I had to do this to get my name on a ballot.

Psssst. I think he already showed it to them...and to some other folks, too, which is why none of the Republican members of Congress are making a stink about it.

Really? That's the new and improved argument on Obama's eligibility? Do they even give out records on Baptisms? I was baptised Catholic and I have never ever seen a record of that. I have my birth certificate, my nursery school diploma, my brownie card, I even have the invitation that was sent out for the shower before I was born as well as the birth announcement. I have my report cards all through grade school. I do not have anything on my baptism and neither do my brothers. Kind of odd since my mother was so meticulous in keeping track of these things. I don't practice the religion and so 3 of my 4 children were not baptized. My oldest daughter was and even though I have records of everything pretty much in her childhood...I do not have a record of her baptism. I have her baptism gown but not one piece of paper other than pics to show that it ever took place. I am guessing that the church maybe has those records?

I don't even know if the church that I was baptised in kept records of who was baptised in that church. Man I will be screwed if I ever want to run for President.

I am thinking that no one kept records like that. I recieved my first communion and I have the rosary that I got and my little miniature bible but no real documentation. Gew...seriously...why would you even want to run for president? Who would want to be responsible for all the wrongs in the world and to have their personal life dissected? I wouldn't want that job for all the world. It is way over-glorified.

As an agnostic individual, it's always quite difficult for me to understand the beefs some religious folk have with other folk not worshipping "their" god and "their" way verbatim. But all I can think here is that someone is sure Obama = antichrist and that his skin would bubble when touched with holy water. So then the absence of any baptism report becomes proof positive Obama is devil spawn. Well, I'm not sure if that's the right answer. But it's certainly the best possible answer - maybe the only possible answer! If it is anything like that, let me just say that I'm so glad Christian loons are only sticking to conspiracy theories and not blowing sh*t up. And I mean that as seriously as I can possibly mean it.

This is so ridiculous. What kind of beef do these people have with Obama that they want to see his birth records and his Baptism certificate. What is it with this country? Is it seriously un-American if your not a Christian?

It depends on if you are an Obama supporter or not. If you voted for Obama or would have, you would have asked, why? And if you did not support Obama you would have asked why was not it done sooner and for me I would answer "because it proves that Obama is not a Muslim." But I can see the reason in general. When I got the insurance claim form for my husband they wanted to see a copy of his birth certificate or his baptismal record. That along with some other stuff. OH I did not tell anyone :"aay ask for Obama's baptismal record" So there! So a baptismal certificate could prove that Obama was born where he says he was. For instance, he may have been born in Hawaii, but maybe his mother was in a taxi at the time and did not make it, but she wanted to say he was born in the hospital because of the financial benefits and maybe baby gifts she would have received. That is my theory. However it would only work if he was baptized as an infant. If he belonged to a church where he received adult baptism, that would not have helped. And as for demanding Obama's birth record, if he had not been too leftist radical and if the Media had not worshiped him, that subject would have never come up.

Because it proves that Obama is not a Muslim, how? I was baptised when I was a child and now I am an atheist.

Oh you want to start an argument, don't you? One of those kinds who do not read all the discussion unless it is to start a fight. If Obama was baptized as an adult, then certainly if he were a Muslim before, he would not be one now. I am sure also that he would have been noticed if he were going into a Mosque unless on an official visit. And with his need for attention, he would probably make a speech or something and have reporters with lots of cameras on him. Personally I do not think he is a good Christian, because if he were, he would not have surrounded himself with all those ungodly people who believe in abortions, paying for the abortion of babies in other countries, do not believe that Americans can govern themselves, is for same gender marriage, etc. Consequently he would not be a good Muslim because I do not think that a good Muslim would be for abortion of babies in other countries, and are for same gender marriage.

Toooooo Funnny.....Everyone is accusing him of being a Muslim. Now they figure that if he does not produce a baptism record, this is proof positive that he is a muslim. It just goes on and on....He has already admitted on tape numerous times that he is a muslim. They do not need a baptism record...Idiots. Shalom~Adoniah

Okay, this one is plan silly. Not everyone gets baptized-even among those who attend church and have their entire lives. Besides, baptism is committing your life to God and I doubt Obama would ever do that. As for the birth certificate I do believe somewhere there is a copy of the original signed certificate. Where? Who knows, but until someone comes up with proof positive it comes from Kenya I'll figure he was born in the U.S.

I was baptised but I don't have any records of it. The church I went to as a kid did not keep those kind of record because the church did not emphasise baptism.

Because it's something new, fresh and exciting? I have no idea where my baptismal record is right now and I'm sure it would take my mother some time to locate it. The people who want to believe that Obama is not eligible to be president and that the entire Congress as well as every judge in the land is in on it will grasp at any straw.
