My sister is getting a new kitten from the shelter tomorrow. We picked it out Sunday, but there is a 24 hour waiting period, just in case you decide you don't want a new pet I guess.
It is a female kitten, mostly black with white paws, white around her nose and a small patch of white on her chest.
What do you think would be a good name for her and why? (the why will make your answer long enough to get some pennies! :P )

Honestly, I always wait a bit generally before picking a name. This gives me a chance to see what kind of personality she might have.
I did name Doctor and Oliver in the car on the way home and I already knew what I wanted to name Sab.
okay, so the obvious would be Mittens and Boots, but I think those are boring (mind you I did have a cat named Mitten, but that's because we called her "kitten" for the first 2 years of her life.)
You could call her Ritz because she's "putting on the Ritz" and that would be different.

Sister was toying with the name Olivia on the way to the shelter, but after seeing her, decided she didn't look like an Olivia.
Is Sab short for anything? I love the name Sabrina and almost got a cat from the shelter too that was already being called Sabrina. I just figured my current cat might take offense if after 6 years of solitude she had to share us and our 900 sq ft home.

I don't know if you've picked a name for her yet because I see this discussion is a week old. I'm so behind on my e-mails! I was thinking, and some of the names I immediately thought of were Kitt (not very original, but cute), Ebony (because she is mostly black), and Rosie (just because it sounds like a precious name for a kitten).
