Life is too short to spend your precious time trying to convince a person who wants to live in gloom and misery. give lifting that person your best shot but dont hang around long enough for his or her bad attitude will pull you down. Instead, surround yourself with optimistic people. Be positive an stay positive! :)

It is a real true statement that you have said. We live with all kind of people. Some are always happy and some always keep on crying for what all they dont have, rather than being happy with what all they have. By this I do not mean, you should not have an urge to have what all you don't have.
My point is that, we should be with people, who are happy, and only people with positive attitude could be happy most of the times. It really affects our attitude. We start living like people who surround us, it comes automatically. But choosing people with whom we should be with depends on us, and hence the saying stands true, " It's not the intelligence but decisions which makes our life."

indeed you're right my friend, sometimes its really the environment, if we get along with miserable people then we will feel the same way with them, but if we choose to surround ourselves with good positive thinkers, then it will be easier for us to solve every problem that comes our way... its more like what you want to be as a person, either be happy or miserable. we always have a choice. for me, i choose to be happy, im not saying im happy because i dont have problems, im happy because i know i can beat them by just thinking positively. :)

That's right! We want the people around us to be positive, just like us, so we try our damdest to make them change their perspective. But some people have been used to the negativity. It's like their security blanket. For these people, much as we love them, our efforts to help them will be in vain if they don't want to help themselves. So, there will come a point when we should distanciate ourselves from them. Not totally abandon them, but just not be too available for them. Because if we let them, they will anchor us down and make us stagnant, then we will soak in the negativity that they wallow in. All we can do is pray that they will eventually see the light. Cheers!

thanks everyone! right friends! no one really cares if we're miserable, so might as well think of something good for yourself, always look at the bright side and dont allow other people get you down. lift them up if you want to help them but if they dont feel like being lifted, then let them... let them stand up on their own, let them learn from you. that's the best thing you can do. :)

I agree with that. You said it absolutely and perfectly.
It is really good to stay positive not only sometimes but always. Being positive helps a lot. IT makes us relax and calm during stressful moments and it keeps that hope inside us. Let us be with optimistic people in order for us to be optimistic too. Let's not think about negative things, instead think positively always.

...and you know something? My blood group is also the same B+(BE POSITIVE)!
So you can bet that i am always positive and i always do something positive. Thinking that a cup is half full or maybe just a coin always has two sides are some of the aspects where i am positive at. I would take my whole life to be positive. Thinking negative would only slow down my hopes for what i have planned next. Whatever i do now in future i should be able to count a lot of happy thiungs which i had done in the past unlimited times on my fingers. That's what i always hope for.
Cheers!
