Do you still listen to the radio? I still do for news and to know what's happening for the moment. How about you, do you still listen to the radio and for what reasons?

I don't listen to the radio as often as I used. I am mostly online now. So I get everything I need from it. When I do go somewhere, I do listen to the radio for music and news

My husband keeps his radio on all day for the muic. He loves country music, only the old stuff 20 to 60 years ago. There's one station in San Antonio that plays it. We have a box full of tapes and hundreds of CDs, but he'd have to turn the tapes over and change the CDs when they finished playing. That would interrupt his naps. Our daughter, age 46, plays the radio a lot, mostly for the music but not the same kind her father listens to. She and her husband run their business out of their home. She has to run out to the lot frequently and can just let the radio go on playing.

I do still listen to the radio,as i like to have it on sometimes in the back ground.I think that there are a few good radio stations that are about, but i do only listen to the few stations that i like, rather than any others.I also get to hear the news aswell when it is on the hour every hour on the radio station.

The morning radio broadcast normally has an update of traffic congestion, alternative routes to take to point B, the weather broadcast as well as other local and international events. For all these I still love to hear the radio to start my day with.

Yes,i still listen to radio.I always listen news and songs from radio. In this modern era many people consider radio as a dying media, but its not fully true. While it may be tempting at times to view radio as a dying medium unable to compete with television and the Internet, it is impossible to deny that the radio still retains some cultural significance.Innovation still promises an adaptation of radio to modern times.Whatever the future of radio as a significant medium its effect on the world has been groundbreaking. With the invention of the radio, the experience available to the common man expanded to cover the whole world, and with it, his awareness, while the content of radio may not be constant, the social change brought about by radio remains significant and irreversible .

Hi...yup i still listen to the radio but not to hear the latest news though..I prefer FM stations 'coz I love music...It also keeps me updated on the latest hits and there's a variety of music genre to choose from. I simply have to choose the station to listen to depending on my mood. Aside from getting tired of listening to the same songs when listening to some CDs, I also don't like changing CDs while driving, that's why sometimes I also turn on the radio when I drive. Music keeps me company when I'm driving and traveling alone. I think listening to music has become a habit that's why even when I work, study or run/jog/walk I always had my headsets on listen to the radio. Good thing cellphones have FM stations, I don't have to bring a lot of gadgets... Sometimes I even link my cellphone to my mini speakers before going to sleep simply to listen to the radio. I sleep better when there's music playing. And my day seems brighter when I start it with some music playing...thanks to the radio & those "music-playing" gadgets...

Since I dont have any TV on my space listening to the radio is one that I do even during at work. I usually listen to a talk show program like Good Times w/Mo in the morning at work. When I'm at home I listen to Boys Night Out and The Brewrats and in the evening before I sleep I listen to True Love Confessions and Wild Confessions by Papa Jack! I think that Radio still be here as long as there is someone like me!

Your topic reminded me of my college life with radio! When I was in university, my teacher required me to listen to VOA/ BBC. That was a boring thing! Now, there is no need for me to be obliged to listen to this, I have enough time to listen to other programs, but unfortunately, my expensive radio goes on strike at this every moment!
