Strange but true!
I have always wanted for the day to come when I will finally have that "star" with a number in it.. :) (Maybe I just need to be active here at MyLot)
But I am also intimidated by that "star" especially if the number after the person's name would be above 10,000.. :)
How about you? How do you feel about getting a star yourself? Or if you already have one, how did you feel when you first saw your star?

I had never known about the star until one day I reached about 200 points and there was a pinky star beside it. Then I was curious and wanted to know more about it. The star is determined by the positive rating from other members on your discussion. That is what I believe, but I may be wrong here.

Yes, the star depends on the rating members give you on the discussions/participations you've made here.

You're right in thinking that you just need to be more active here to rack up your count and get your star. Don't get intimidated! Everybody started out the same, with no star and low number count. And it took everybody the same amount of time (or the same amount of participation) before they got their stars.
I did feel glad when I got my star, I started to pretend that I wasn't a newbie anymore.

we all have the same feelings when we were new here in mylot, but yes, if you really are more active here in MyLot then your star is not far behind. Don't get intimidated because you were not alone with that feeling. I felt really happy getting my first star i believe i started like 4 and then it changed to six until i got a ten. I was so happy yesterday and even posted a new discussion that i was very happy getting my rank 10. It won't be that long for you to get a star..just continue writing and commenting here. Happy myLotting :)
