Divorce bill had been the most talked for awhile in the Senate and Congress here in the Philippines. When the president heard about this divorce bill he said a big NO,NO to it,but he said for those who want to re-marry just need legal separation.Did the President know that legal separation here in the Philippines does not allowed remarriage? There are lots of comments about what our President said like, does the president believe that those being abused had not any right given another chance at life?Would the president prefer women to suffer in silence for the sake of making it appear that their marriages is intact, even if in reality they are broken down? These are the question being ask.For me everyone should be given a chance. This has been a very hot topics until now. What's your opinion? Share it here..Thanks and happy mylotting!!!

Hi elleb! For a country like ours where most peoples' views about marriage are still conservative, the bill on Divorce is a real controversial one. The Pro-Family groups and the Catholic church would surely oppose on this and will stage a lot of rallies just to show how against they are. The president's answer on this is kind of vague and you can't really tell what he approves of or not.. :) For me those who are suffering (women, or men for that matter) should be given a chance to be heard and be freed (that is to assume that the relationship is beyond reviving and healing). The disadvantage would be when people will abuse on this - when they will be like Hollywood stars, divorcing and remarrying in just months. Like one doesn't need to think hard about it anymore.. :(

Good for those who have a successful marriage, but how about to the unsuccessful one?the one's who are suffering in a unhealthy relationship,do they have no right to be happy again? For me all has it's reason, just wanted to be not a one sided here, lets also look the other side of the coin,so that we all know what really are happening in this world.

divorce should be made more difficult because basically what has been united by God can not be separated by man

Everyone of us is entitled to our own opinion, but for me everybody should be given a chance.Maybe as a catholic nation,we always have to follow what the bible says, but even in the bible divorce was also tackle. We will just hope that this bill if being pass will be used in proper way also.
