Silence of The Lambs is already a very old movie. I watched it for several times. Actually I don't think this movie is very horrible. I don't understand why people say it is one of the best horror movies and this movie won some prizes, I think. A movie like Hostel is much more horrible than Silence of The Lambs. I love China

A crime thriller or psychological thriller would be more suitable for The Silence of the Lambs, it's not quiet the horror type. The Silence of the Lambs was quiet an excellent film to watch, it's kind of a film which can be seen over and over again ...

Firstly it's a thriller plain and simple with a clearly defined crime/detective/cop element. But it does have elements of horror to it and as such it's often classed as both, a thriller and a horror. Or at least that's my perception of the movie.

Whenever I see this title I always remember that scene where Anthony Hopkins just lured the two cops into his cage, and he has just managed to handcuff one on one of the bars, and he was getting ready to hit the cop with his stick. I could still see his face and the almost graceful motion he did as he waved the stick on top of him after every hit. Horror film or not, I think it was good film. Maybe you're right, it was a crime drama!

Whenever I hear Silence of The Lambs I think of two things. no three. The killer's dance while he admires himself in the mirror. The way Tony and Jody had a great verbal chess match in their meetings and most of all Tony saying, " I'm having an Old friend for dinner."Classic!

This film is not a horror film. It's more of a suspense kind of film. A psychological thriller or psychological suspense film.

It is definitely a crime thriller but it does blend some horror elements. I never really cared much for the movie but I did like the character of Lector.

No, it is not a horror since there was no ghost, i think it is a suspense at most, and more of psychological and criminal since it deals with finding a killer and also with the past of the girl and why the killer does what he does.

It's not a horror film in the true sense. It's a thriller or drama that is horrifying.

If it walks like a duck, squawks like a duck, it probably is a duck. Just too many comments bear this out - that they did not think the film a horror, but a crime movie. They all cannot be wrong as they are the viewers and know what they like and what they don't. It does not matter what a reviewer writes about a film - they have to write good and positive things - it's what the view thinks and experience. Bottom line: The Rite is a dud.
