thrilled that you did it :) i'm running a 10k this Saturday without proper training. I've run on and off all summer but mostly on a treadmill. My son was jumped in our neighborhood a few weeks back and I haven't been outside since to run. I feel my treadmill is much safer even if it isn't ideal.

Definitely safer indoors! I don't have a treadmill so I either run the streets or I don't get to at all! I did okay with the 5K I was just really, really sore for a day!

Hi Mac!. I really admire your spirit I mean a woman at your age really love to work out. I don't really enjoying to do sport, I had a bike at home but I rarely used it because its easier to use motorcycle to go any were even for short distance. I hope you will work great on that race, let us know the result OK. Keep on the good work sister!.

Thanks! I am riding my bike around a lot and beginning to get back into training mode for running. I hope to do a half marathon early next year!

That's cool! My last 5K run was April (or was it May?). LOL. I signed up for another one a few weeks ago but didn't get to run it because I became lazy and didn't train. I hope I can sign up for another run and hopefully I can become serious in training!

I hear ya jayp! Lack of training was my hesitation really. I hadn't run a bit since July1. But I was determined! And I did jog the whole thing. I was really sore that afternoon and the next day though! But I am back to training and have another race in two weeks!

You have a very stronge mind, and everything can be done if never give up. Running is hard but funny, and I think running is like a short life, there are exciting, painful, tired, and so on, but at last, when it is finished, the happiness is so great that the hardness becomes nothing. Best wishes to you and your running.
