Would you rather be overdressed or undressed in attending a party/event?

I believe parties give opportunity in meeting new people, and they say first impression lasts. I would rather get overdressed because that would show that you value the event you've attended and that you really prepared for it.

For me if you are overdressed you somehow get a positive response, unlike the undressed the impression that you'll be getting from the visitors are negative and not a good impression. So I would prefer being overdressed because I know I am still in the spotlight with a positive thought coming from the guests and visitors.

Exactly, I'd rather that those who don't know me just yet, see me at my best.

I'd rather be overdressed. It seems everywhere I go, well when I go out on the weekends or whatnot, or if we just have family over at the house...I'm overdressed. They might be in jeans and a shirt and than I end up being in black pants and a nice shirt or something. To say the least I tend to be overdressed. There is nothing wrong with the jeans and a tshirt though, I love dressing like that a bit, it's comforting and relaxing. I shop at H&M a bit and there clothes seem pretty nice and casual to begin with. I'm rarely undressed, but again...quite the opposite.
