February 29 Birthdays

I wonder, how would people who was born in a leap year, exactly February 29, celebrate their birthdays? If they celebrate it on February 29, then they'll celebrate every four years O_O But seriously, would they celebrate on February 28 or March 1. I don't know anyone who was born on this day, but if you were, what would you do? If it were me I'll have my birthday on March 1. It sounds more natural and having a birthday at the first day of the month seems happy to me.

It is no doubt a problem for those born on 29th February. But it also is a special attraction to all others who have other birth days as this will be remembered by all others. But one thing to mention here is that those who have also the opportunity to follow any other calender do not face this problem. They can follow their birth days according to both calenders. One of my cousins has his birthday on 29 th February. We being Bengalees, he follows his birth day according to Bengali calenders and in a leap year only he follows the English calender.

Hey, good idea! With Gregorian and Julian calenders, everyone could have at least two birthdays a year!

I haven't seen different calendars before. That sounds great that there are alternative calendars. It'll be fun to celebrate several birthdays base on different calendars.

I had a friend in this situation. She was very happy because people ALWAYS remembered her birthday. She celebrated on both days when it wasn't a leap year. It's like you have two birthdays with the "real" one somewhere in between!

Oh that sounds fun! I would also love to have two birthdays like that. How about her birthday on a leap year? That should be really a huge party (not necessarily many people but many food ^_^) since it only comes once every four years. And it's also great that everyone will remember someone with 'February 29' as her birthday since it's very rare. That definitely sounds nice! :D
