Hello folks, I am a mucisian and I would like to own a PC suitable enough for my needs (composing and recording). I know that I cannot buy branded PC for this type of requirement, so if anyone can help me share complete hardware specification, then it will help me a lot! For example; processor model, how many RAMs I need, the best sound card, and speaker. Please let me know.

If you want to use the PC for professional level music making and editing, then i can suggest you a better configuration. As music editing consumes much more processing power, so make sure you have powerful processor with a durable motherboard. Prefer nothing less than i5-760. Its the best i5(quad-core) available in the market. Processor-- i5-760 RAM-- G.Skill(Ripjaw)/Corsair(XMS3) 2X2GB DDR3 @ 1333MHz/1600MHz Motherboard-- MSI P55A FUSION Power Supply-- Corsair TX 450W Graphic card--ATI 5770HD (you need to add a graphic card if using i3,i5 or i7)[if your work is not graphic intense, then can compromise with low power card like 4650HD] Sound Card-- Asus Xonar DX (the best one which i've tested, 10/10 in terms of sound quality). Hard drive--Depends on your space requirements. 1TB or above is recommended. Monitor-- Dell 2209W(22 inch) or 2409W(24 inch)or anything which you like..

Awesome! This is the configuration I am looking for! I think I will go on with a lower level graphic card, and the sound card? Well, never heard of it as I've been using Creative product the whole time. I'll search the info about it and try that one. Thank you very much!

Well, in terms of sound, ASUS has an advantage over Creative and is better priced than Creative. If you want a Creative product, then prefer Creative X-Fi Platinum. This one is also good sound card with 24bit & 192KHz audio support which i assume is better than DVD quality Audio. And one more thing, if you go with motherboard which is MSI P55A Fusion, then its on-board sound card is comparable with the Creative Sound Blaster. So, you can check audio quality with on-board sound card and if you want more quality then you can buy a separate good quality sound card. The on-board sound card of above mentioned motherboard supports Lossless 24bit/192kHz HD Audio. So, you can save some money with this board. And for good quality speakers, Edifier and Altec Lansing are best in mid-budget segment.

Hello Ramaditya, I guess you would get the rest of the hardware components as mentioned in the first response. I would recommend you to install a sound card as well, because that is going to improve your sound system. Plus, you would need to install sound mixing software, that i don't have much idea of. I hope you find some nice softwares for editing and mixing. I have heard about fruity loops studio, but it would be best if you see it's review. I think it will be useful for you. All the best.

For music you do not need to have a very high end hardware. You need to have the hardware enough to play music. You may need a good sound card and speakers for better output. Rest everything is playable by a normal pc. You may have a blue ray disc player also.

Yes I know, but I don't mean only playing music. But I need a PC suitable enough to compose music digitally.
