I love candles in my home, I only use soy and have recently gotten into making them myself, now I can have any scent that I want when ever I want. What is your favorite scent to use.

no, only unless there is a power out. you gotta watch it when you buy candles to make sure you get lead free wicks plus try a vegetable or beeswax candle instead of the petroleum products because the petroleum products can let off emissions and they cause black soot. the other wax candles cause soot too but it is not as noxious. they are trying to develop candles without soot. essential oils can let off harmful emissions as well, so i wouldn't burn "natural" candles with essential oils in them. just my two cents.

I love scented candles. The scents I burn are flowers and fruits mostly. Glade has the best ones I've found so far. I love the berry scents and the grapefruit scents. Wish I had the time to get into candle-making. It would save a fortune on store-bought candles.

The wax is a little expensive unless you find a cheap place to buy it in bulk. Ive seen some soy wax going for 6 bucks a pound.

I do use candles, but only for looks and fragrance. It would take a lot of candles to light my home enough so that I could see properly.

Candles! - Candles help to relieve one's daily stress
that life may bring us! . . There are many
uses for candles I believe we all have found!
Yes I do indeed use candles in my home on a regular basis. I burn candles all the time because of the smell but also because of the fragrance they carry. I have truly found that they help to put out a great smell in our house or even anywhere that I decide to put them. Other then that though.. I know that candles are used quite frequently around our house.. But I tend to use them for a variety of different reasons. Some of those reasons are as follows. - I as well will use candles to save on power. I know that when I am cooking sometimes I will have quite a few candles lit & I am still able to see what I am cooking. And I'd much rather use the light from a candle then have to turn on a light, as sometimes I find the lights around one's house can be so bright. I find candles to be something that helps you to relax more whatever room you may be in. - I also use candles when I am wanting to relax. I will sometimes run myself a nice hot bubble bath & I will light a few candles & have them close by the tub. And I find it is much easier for me to relax with candles being lit. Instead of having the bathroom light on while I am trying to take a nice relaxing bubble bath. I as well love the scents of the candles as I find certain candles are much more relaxing than others. I personally love aromatherapy candles as they help to ease stress I may be feeling on that specific day. I know that lavender has to be one of my absolute favorites. - I also will use candles for special holidays. If I am having company over for dinner I will sometimes light candles for the holiday dinner. I find that bt doing this it helps to enhance the mood of the dining experience in general. - I know that when I am planning a romantic dinner for me & my other half. That I will light candles. I think there is nothing better then being able to have a romantic candlelight dinner with the person whom you love. I usually will use unscented candles though because in the past I know when I've used candles that are scented.. That they have overpowered the aroma of the meal I was serving. haha. I guess you live you learn. - I sometimes will use candles for house cleaning. I find while I am cleaning lighting candles sometimes makes the rooms within the house to smell so fresh, yet so clean. I know when I have had company over in the past that I used to always get complimented on how nice each room had smelt. In conclusion as you can see.. I am quite a big fan of candles & I always tend to find ways to use them in my daily schedule. I think they we're one of the greatest inventions that we're ever made. Sometimes having a light within the house can be to over-powering.. At least with a candle you are able to have a light that isn't to powerful.. That way you have a source of light that doesn't end up hurting one's eyes. I love that there are so many ways one can use a candle. Instead of just being able to use it for one particular reason! . . Thanks for allowing me to share! xx

I love having candles in my home. They create a very warm and cozy atmosphere on cold, winters nights. I also find that candles create a very evocative atmosphere, and feel that they have a cleansing effect on my home.
