Jerry Lewis Accepted 20 Million From Hugo Chavez

I can't believe Jerry Lewis accepted 20 Million dollars from Citgo!! Whatever happened to moral values? I know we're in a recession, and I'm glad that MDA got 58 million dollars. I have two people in my family that suffer from MD, and I even had one aunt die from ALS. But I couldn't believe he accepted that check from Citgo, you might as well say Hugo Chavez, the vile man who said President Bush was the devil. No wonder Jerry quickly went to the guy from the Firefighters, with his large donation. He should be ashamed of himself. Then there was the young man with MD who used to be a MDA ambassador, that now heads a college. He had the hugest picture of Obama behind him that I've ever seen. This young man even interned for Obama when he was a senator. While I'm glad the young man did well for himself, why did they have to politicize it? I hated to see politics enter into the telefon. It just seemed cheap and tawdry to me.

Oh come on receiving 20 million dollars from Citgo is not like receiving 20 million dollars for Hugo Chavez. Even if you cannot see the difference what does it matter where the money comes from? That money will do help to fund medical scientific research to find a cure for MDA. I am glad that Citgo donated 20 million dollars, I would be glad if Chavez personally donated the money.

CITGO is probably the American division of the world wide company. If you don't like CITGO then buy your gasoline and oil from another company. They are trying to do some good so what is the harm?

Citgo and the MDA have been partnered for years. Just because Citgo happens to get their fuel from Venezuelan companies (by the way, so do many others), does not mean Hugo Chavez signed a check over to Jerry Lewis for any amount.

People all over the US get free oil from Chavez every winter, did you know that. He give oil to poor Americans. You don't see our oil companies doing that...Yeah I dilike him too, but it is awfully hard to turn down that much money when the kids need it so.... Shalom~Adoniah
