how to repair my wireless compaq cq40

i have compaq cq40 notebook,the wireless feature is disfunction,I have go to hp site, download wireless software and driver but after i installed them, my wireless till didn't work,i its seem they doesn't suitable for my compaq.
please give me some solutions. thanks

seeworld what you should do is go to the place where you bought tnhe new notebook and ask them what software is compatible for your particular compaq notebook. They should be able to tell you and help you get the
notebook working again.
