Completely, totally, utterly BORED on Facebook these days....

I joined mySpace back in 2007, mostly as a means to keep an eye on my daughter. Facebook started sometime later (unknown date) and REALLY got into that until a few months ago. I pretty much gave up on mySpace--it's difficult to create backgrounds that can be read, and most of my friends are on Facebook anyway. I helped to coordinate my class reunion (last November), which WAS fun. But when I started, I was attending school and barely working, plus it was something new to do. I even began moving away from myLot--and I was really focused on making my minimum payout every month! But late last year, I began to make goals for myself for each game--and after I got there, I quit it. But now my computer can't quite play some of the newer games, or they really are just an updated version of an old one. And more and more lately, I've had to resort to using Status Shuffle to come up with something catchy for my update! Has anyone else experienced this problem? And what have you had to do to combat the problem?

I am not much into Facebooking. I only do there to read my friends' and loved ones' updates and also do some personal updates, but that's about it. I don't know how those games are played on FB and I am not interested in playing them because I believe they take up a lot of time.

I agree--those games are a huge timewaster! I do like being able to reconnect with family and friends, some of whom don't live near me any longer. I have made new friends too though, which is great. I do try to see my local friends though because personal contact is so much better than technology.

I Agree that facebook gets boring, and usually I don't get on facebook unless I want to talk to someone or im in dire boredom. I used to play games but I didn't have enough time to waste every day to get on it! Hope This Helped!

I really wish I had a FT job, or be back in school again to take up more time! I did recently start my business up again, which helps a lot. I guess I just need some discipline or something....

Hi, scorpiobabes. I am not on Facebook that much myself. I would rather be at myLot, hellobeautiful or mediatakeout.com. These are my favortite sites to hang out at. I can just be myself. Many people on Facebook act like they are too good to chat and post back and forth with me. I can be here at myLot and many people from around the world, accepts me for who I am. I feel very comfortable here at myLot. If Facebook is not satisfying you, then by all means, find somewhere else that you can hang at that is more fulfilling and enjoyable.

Thanks cream--I have not heard of those two sites. Hellobeautiful sounds as though it's for singles, and I am not looking for a relationship. Mediatakeout sounds interesting, and I may have to check it out. Thanks for the suggestions!

I do not know what status shuffle is, and I do not really want to know what it is. I am also bored with facebook, which is why I only check it once every three days. If you're really bored or getting frustrated with it... maybe you should just do other things?

I could do that, but I already watch WAY too much TV. I'm also in the process of downsizing, so I try selling things for a week on eBay (or Craigslist). If they don't sell, I donate them. Otherwise, I work. It's tough being broke cause there's a lot of world out there I'd rather be enjoying...

Sometimes, but its different in my case.. I guess you should be more interactive, maybe.. I think its boring when you don't see any or more wall posts or messages around your facebook page. Perhaps set your goal whatever it is and share some interesting ideas..

How is it different in your case? I'm still in the process of removing many of the 'gaming friends' I had, although some have become good 'cyber friends'. I guess I'm just restless, especially now that I no longer have my own garden to putter around in .

I too am totally bored with Facebook! In fact I was so annoyed with it recently that I deleted my account. I found that the recent so called updates really made many of the games I play almost impossible to play now. That was what I was using FB for mostly. They keep changing the site and calling it updates and improvements but I would rather have them leave it the way it was. I have since opened a Twitter account and MY Space but I found them more boring than FB, LOL.

I don't get myspace--nor can I find anyone to share it with, LOL! And do we need Tweets about every move that Ashton or Lindsey makes? Hardly!

Myspace sucks. Facebook is much better, but it is also annoying at times. I do like playing farmville and Evony though...

I never played Evony but I love Farmville, especially since they released Farmville for the iPhone! I've been playing Frontierville, but I really think Zynga (who makes both of them) is stretched a bit thin lately...lots of crashes or lost bits. Thanks for responding!

hi scorpiobabes come back more to mylot instead and earn more money here and forget facebook for awhile. my lot like crazy and join old and new friends here. do some tasks or other stuff to make money here. I belong to face book but do not go there all the time. I am here to learn and share things with friends and make enough to pay my internetbill.

Start your own Facebook page that interests other people. You can also create pages and invite your friends with catchy phrases and such that they can like. In my opinion you will not get much out of facebook. If you are that bored you should start a new hobby.

Simple. Close the browser. You don't have to force yourself into using Facebook! If you don't find anything interesting, then move on to something else, such as myLot and learning a new talent! I don't have your problem. Perhaps you can add more friends. How many friends have you got?

Haha, actually, I'm not on Facebook this morning...a friend of mine asked me for some info (since she wasn't online) and I got her what she needed. As for moving on to something else like myLot, actually, I moved on to mySpace (and later Facebook) FROM myLot! And I'm not really interested in learning a new talent right now...maybe when I have some extra space (selling off old stuff to make room). As for adding new friends, I actually began deleting old gaming friends--I recently dropped about 500 or so (from 1300+ to 800+), so I don't think that's the problem either....I'll figure it out though. Thanks for the response!
