Yesterday I came home early from work becase I wasn't feeling well. However, I promised my lil girl that I would make her rice and beans. She loves white rice!! ( go figure) I am standing in the kitchen feeling like crap cooking dinner. I turn around and see her standing there looking at me, but it looks like she is about to cry. I say " what's the matter baby girl?" She looks up and me and says.... " Sometimes I forget how wonderful you, Thanks for being my Mommie." Now I don't know about you Mylotters, that just melted my heart Wow my lil girl is growing up and she sees me. She doesn't just see a lady standing in the kitchen cooking. Sh really see's me. I am so blessed to her such a special person in my life. How is your relationship with your daughter?

Oh that's so sweet for your daughter to say that. I guess I can share that experience too because sometimes my daughter would just tell me and my husband, " mom dad I'm so happy to be with you. I love you both." She is very expressive and sensitive at an early age. My son on the other hand is not as demonstrative as his sister but we know that we can depend on him too. He is usually very happy to do minor requests like getting some water, closing the door etc. With the presence of my 2 angels, I simply forget that life is difficult coz with them things just become so easy and beautiful.

I have two boys and they are not as expressive as their sister, but they do say i love you mom all the time and we hug and kiss each other every single day. it's a rule in our home to hug the each other to have that connection. Children are so wonderful

My 11 month old doesn't really say much other then hi, mumma, and dad dad BUT when I go to get her out of her crib every morning and she hasn't seen me all night the smile that I get from her when I open the door and she sees me is enough to tell me that she loves me! I love babies!

Awwwwwwwww, that story was so heart melting and touching! That is so sweet! I have an awesome relationship with my 4 year old as I stay home with her while hubby works and it has been that way pretty much since she has been born. I had worked evenings for a while when hubby was home to watch her, but I had to quit when I found out I was pregnant with our second daughter who is now 11 months old. I couldn't work evenings because I was too exhausted from taking care of the other one all day and pregnancy is exhausting in itself! I'm hoping that when my 11 month gets older that she and I will have just as good of a relationship as my 4 year old and I do!

Hi, 34momma. Oh my goodness that is so sweet of her to say to you! I know that softened your heart into beautiful flowers of happiness! Children are very special. They know more than we have told them. Your daughter appreciates you and she told you so. I hope that you will feel so much better very soon. Being that your daughter has said this comment to you, I hope that it can heal up your sickness that you have.

That almost makes me cry. I have a good relationship with both of my daughters and I am thankful for that. Now that my oldest daughter is on her own, she realizes just how much I done and really appreciates it. She tells me that she doesn't know how I done everything that I did when they were younger. I tell her that you do it out of love.

I don't have a daughter, but I have boys. I admit that I am an angry person, and little things easily irritate me specially coming home from a full day's work. Sometimes my kids say the darndest things. They say thank you for the little things I do for them. And when they do, it usually melts whatever crappy feelings I also experiencing. Congratulations on having a great daughter!

hi , i have 5 kids , 3 of them are girls , all grown up now . i would say that not one individual in this world is perfect , they have their own imperfections , nevertheless i still try to discipline them and up to now i always make it my best to be the example of what i preach because my being a mother does not stop till i have my breath. My 3 girls are wonderful too , they help me in household chores and since 2 had graduated from school and started their own career , they also help me financially from time to time . But i would also say that my 2 boys also are wonderful and i know they care for me much too.

after I read the story I think of my father. My father is a farmer,he like studying when he was a boy but he have to give up studying in the end.The reason is that there was enough money at that time. For this,my father do his best to make my live happily ,he is very support to my study ,too. My father love me,I remembered my father always bought all kinds of food for me when I was a child but he ste nothing. He said he did not like it. In china, the fee of college is expensive for the farmer`s families. But my father said to me that there is no problen. In fact, there is a big problen.I was crying when I have the money to school.I also love my father,so I do the part=time jobs to make the money for the livehood of myselfe. I am so blessed to him such a special and important person in my life. I will do my best to give him a happy live.
