anyone familiar with adsense?

i dont know how does an adsense work..but im interested with it.. someone told me that you can actually earn through your blogs and if you have adsense, google will pay you for every person who reads your blog but the problem is i dont know how to link it to my blogsite.. can anyone help me on this?
