How will you Remember?

Tomorrow will mark the 9th anniversary of 9/11. How will you and your family memoralize what was lost on that day? I decided I am going to go wherever I want tomorrow and not be afraid. If we stay afraid of another attack, the people who did this win, by taking away the rights we have.

Well, my family is going out to dinner at Knott's Chicken Dinner Restaurant tomorrow for 9/11. I try to remember this day by just living my life as I have been and showing those terrorists that they haven't destroyed us and they haven't scared us. Oh yes, we are vigilante, but we are still going and still living.

This is what I think is the most important thing is to show we go on and we are strong. Originally I was worried about going to a party where we are going tomorrow, in a big city. Then I decided they win if I stay home and be afraid.

And that is what they want, they want you to be afraid. You have to prove that your not scared.

Well I have nothing planned but certainly will keep the memory of this tragic event memorialized in my mind my entire life. Since I do not have cable TV, I suppose I can spend sometime online tomorrow viewing some of celebrations online as I am sure they will be several. I agree with you when you say we cannot live in fear, we can be cautious but never live with the fear.

I will watch a little bit of the rememberances in the morning, and then I am going to go out and do what ever I would normally do. I am not going to keep being afraid to live my life.

i am canadian and was not really affected by 9/11 but like everyone else in the world, was shocked by the events. we always take a minute or two for silence to remember what happened on that day.

I think no matter what country you are from, the shock of what happened affected everyone. I will participate in a moment of silence and will say some prayers for the family whose lives were changed in a moment.

Bodmin jail - Bodmin jail black and white
It's now the 12th. I did nothing special on the 11th, nor took any precautions. In fact, I had a day trip to a jail now turned into a museum, in Bodmin, Cornwall, UK.

I was wondering when you first said the 9th, lol. That sounds like an interesting day trip, and I am glad you did what you wanted to do.

We will do what we've done for the past 9 years, watch the services on TV and weep along with the families, friends and loved ones of the victims whose lives were lost on that horrible And when it's over i will go on remembering those 3000 lives that were so needlessly and callously taken away from us.9 years later i remember that day as if it were yesterday.

we can not decide to remember the things.it is just the natural process..!! though you decided to remember the things it depends on your interest that you like to remember or not..?? so simply take an interest in the things which you want to remember...!!

That is a very good piece of advice. I find my mind remembering bad things like this way too much. I really need to remember good things that took place and celebrate those moments more.
