You can write beautiful pieces when--- inspired or depressed?

I don't know why (maybe I'm just weird) but I think I can write something worthwhile and somehow ok if I am in a depressed mood than when I'm inspired. Maybe I can express more emotions when I'm devastated or in my saddest point... How about you? What are your motivations to write? Does your mood dictates your writing ideas? Thank you very much!

I can say that this is true for me, too. When we are somewhat depressed and inspired we have so much emotions. Th feeling of joy we feel doesn't want us to stop from bragging the reasons behind it. Likewise when we feel depressed. We tend to feel like we want to reach out to whoever there is that might listen to our pain and burdens. There's the longing to share what we feel. Let me share this to you, Pinkhawk. This is what I have written during those times when I felt so depressed and pained... http://authspot.com/short-stories/how-much-do-i-loved-thee/

Thank you very much for responding and sharing a story--sad but how you come up with it- is indeed beautiful, full of emotions and bleeding words. This only proves that when we are depressed, our senses are gear up to make something worthwhile or magnificent..^.^!

I can only write when I feel inspired, when I feel depressed I just want to sleep and do nothing, so then I really do no writing at all!

Your write ups are most often affected by your mood. As to my case, i can write longer when im depressed. I also don't know why. Maybe it's because, through writing it out, i can pour out my emotions which has been bringing grudges in myself. On the other hand, when i'm happy... I'd rather feel it than writing it up.

Both! Mostly when I'm depressed, I put all my stress in a paper, but when I'm inspired of something I can write it too.

I'd say I write better when in both feelings... I tend to write with my feelings, so whenever you read my piece, it describes the real me.
