whenever you drive a car, you carrying a spare tire, right. why are you expecting a flat tire? of course not! you carry a spare tire just want to be prepared when hitting the road to reach your destination without further delay. apply this principle for your income to have a constant flow. you should not be contented to one source of income. you should create and develop spare resources of residual income so that even you lose your job, getting sick or company shutdown, your income never stop like a running water in the spring, continuous and over flowing.

I believe this also. My problem is that I try things and work so hard to get them going and they never take off. And as far as a spare tire...just in case? Better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it!

I like the way you think you seem very smart. Good advice, i absolutely agree with it but don't always live by it. I would love to have enough money not to worry to live with everything i want and need without having to plan or sacrifice other things. One day this dream will come true, i have been making big changes to my spending and income. Theres no better time than now.

I agree that everyone should have other means of income, who wouldn't? I think the problem is how to go about getting this. Specially if you already have a regular job wherein you spend 40 hours a week. It would be hard to find the time, and balance it with your family time. But everyone should! That's why a lot of people venture out into money-making endeavors on-line.

I currently don't have a job and online earnings are all I earn. Most of the sites out there are scam and many turn into scam everyday. So I have joined many paying sites so as when one site stop paying I can continue to earn with other sites. I have joined some reliable sites just to make sure my earnings are not completely vanished.

A spare job on the side is good, on top of a stable job. If the spare job is a business where you can delegate the labor, that will be the best. But two full jobs in a day, I don't think it's healthy.
