Certainly it is a sad news for all the readers that the Holy Quran has been burnt near the ground zero on 9/11.I have seen a video showing a fat ,bald man burning this holy book. There was no one to stop him. After about 10/15 minutes police came and took him away without getting the sacred book from him.He was moving in the protesters without any danger.Certainly it is a big tragedy for whole the world which will effect the international relations. What are your views about this sad incident ??

That doesnt stop people from converting to Islam. The well preserved Quran cant be destroyed by burning or whatever. For the truth seekers, the quran may become a contemplation, is there another holy book with the whole contents most memorized on earth and as consistent as God promise to guard it in it?

You are right man2sting, I fully agree with you. The real Quran in the heart and minds of the people would burn only if they chose to retaliate and not otherwise.

Thanks for your nice sentiments.Yes,it is very difficult to destroy this holy Book by burning b/c it is divinely protected and God Almighty is saving it in hearts and souls of millions of Muslims in this world....It is a live miracle for those who have an eye to see and change.......Certainly it is enough to raise the rage of God Almighty to punish that place and people responsible for burning this holy book.It is not a good omen for that country and its people.

I think the only sad thing about it is the man's stupidity. It's stupid to burn books that you don't like or don't agree with. But there's no law against it. The Koran is a book just like any other book. It's ink on paper, and just because its believers think it's sacred, that doesn't make it so. Every religious believer thinks their own books are sacred, but I still haven't figured out, after a long lifetime, what sacred even means. I really doubt that the incident will have any effect on international relations. You're giving more credit to one stupid anonymous person than he deserves. Except for religious fanatics who get bent out of shape with the smallest excuse, I doubt that anybody really cares very much, and in a couple of days nobody will even remember that it happened.

( The Quran Is A Book Like Any Other Book . It's Ink On Paper ) Hey First : I Want To Say That I Am A Muslim 2nd : I Guess Burning A Holy Book Is Not A Small Thing To Forget 3rd : ( & Just Because its Believers Think Its Sacred ,That Doesn't Make It So !!!!! ) We Are Not **Think** Its Sacred , But We **Believe** Its Sacred ,,,, Another Point That Our Think Is Not Who Makes It Sacred But Every Thing Came On It Make The Holy Book Sacred And I Guess If Any One Read It Well Notice That

Yeah, it is a sad thing that someone would be so hateful as to burn someone's holy book. I've seen remnants of a holy book that I believe in - that was torn to pieces in front my friend's face. It was horribly rude and careless. In the end - this specific failure of humanity will be judged by God. Along those same lines, God is a 'big boy.' He will surely take care of Himself. The writings and teachings of the books - which are widespread and will not be eliminated... and if someone were to burn my holy book, it certainly wouldn't lessen the impact that they have had and will have on my life - nor the sacredness with which I regard them. Surely the burning of any God-honoring book will be a bad omen for any country - and... in combination with other individual character traits that accompany such a hateful act, the individuals responsible will surely bring themselves to misery and disappointment if they fail to correct themselves. I also read the news about how the reported Quran burning would likely cause people (who are innocent of burning a holy book) their security (=lives). I find it a pity that someone would let the burning of a sacred book - conducted by some hateful... ignorant... small... people - provoke them to shed the sacred life of an innocent. It is my belief that anybody who would do such a thing is discrediting their faith. God and His importance in our lives can't truly be touched by anybody but ourselves. In the end it is not God that they are burning and it is a wasteful act of hate. In terms of the impact that God has had on my life, the invariable supremacy of God, and in terms of innocent (or even guilty) lives... I believe that a holy book is just ink on paper.

I think that any act that induces incitement to hatred is wrong! It was wrong for this bald chap to burn the Koran and he obviously wasn't thinking straight. However, there are burnings that take place all over the world including the burning of holy bibles as well. I know that this sounds pessimistic but I just don't think that International relations will ever improve as long as these acts keep on taking place. It would be nice if there was peace in the world but I just don't think this is possible in the current climate. Andrew

YES!! It is very sad. It is monstrous in modern times. One cannot what would have happened in good old days...taking them to be barbaric times it is now not at all right to set it on fire. That means the Pastor did noot heed the advice of The President even though he promised to do so if requested. Whatever be one's religion if a part of humanity and a good great number at that believes the Holy Qur'An to be a holy book and THE WORD OF GOD well it is. We must learn to accept this!! I feel as bad as a devout Muslim, that this has happened.

Thanks for responding and sharing your nice sentiments. These people do not know this holy book has a unique honor of being protected divinely. There are millions of Muslims in all parts of this world who have memorized it by heart even if Arabic may not be their mother language.Even Children of 7-8 years can easily memorize it.It is a big book having more than 500 pages.Surely it is a big miracle for whole the world to see and change attitude......

The real Quran is not on the paper it is written and they burnt it but it is written on the hearts and mind of the people who believe in it. Therefore those who burnt it need not rejoice and those who believe in it must not feel sad, because the real Quran is something no one can burn. It would continue to enlighten its followers. Now in this moment too it must guide its followers not to retaliate. If they do then the real Quran would be really burnt, then it would burn in the hearts and minds of the people.

Thanks for your nice views.Certainly we will not retaliate in the same manner and no Muslim will burn the Bible.I have two Bibles in my library and I can never think of burning them at all b/c name of Prophet Jesus(pbuh)is there whom we know as our future beloved leader and we are ready to give all our loves and lives to him as advised by our Holy Prophet Muhammad(pbuh). He had clearly predicted with the divine knowledge that his brother Jesus will land in Muslims and will unite all believers in this faith to fight a war against the last Antichrist and then create the IDEAL WORLD STATE on this earth. Our Holy Prophet had also predicted that all those people who will fight under Jesus, will go to paradise without any problem. Please see this lesson of love, devotion and sacrifice he is giving to his followers......

Really stupid act. I am sure it doesn't bring anything good to any of the parties. There always be people eager to show off and gain some sort of publicity or popularuty. In this case it is close to fanatism which is dangerous in any form. I am an Orthodox Christian. I feel sorry for all those whe dided in those towers. But I think that burning act was a great mistake.

Hi awapak, This is sad and also wrong but please remember it was the work of one crazy man. No one should burn a book that is considered sacred by millions of people, it can only stir up hatred. I know that most Muslims are good people and that only a few radicals are the terrorists. I think the answer lies in getting to understand each other better. People on both sides have gotten all the wrong messages. Sixty years ago, there was little connection between the two religions as we lived in such different parts of the world. Today, it is like we are neighbors and to be good neighbors, we must get to know each other better. I want to see peace and a better life for everyone. Blessings my friend.

Disrespect is always sad!! Whether someone is burning the Koran or a Bible, it is always distasteful to be disrepecful of other people's beliefs. It is never okay to burn any book that someone feels is holy. Whether or not someone agrees or disagrees with the contents, it's not good to display this type of behavior.

I can only speak for myself. While I have my own religious views as a Christian, which are different from the Quran, I would not burn any religious book. I would not promote such a thing and would not encourage anyone to do it. The world if full of fanatics and people that promote hate. They are in all religions, bar none. Only God can solve the problems of the world and people like myself pray that God will do it soon.
