Run a criminal background check on anyone?

Have you ever? Why did you do it? I have run a couple. Actually ran one on my husband, well before I met him in person. Funny thing is.... some friend worked in the office and called and told him. Some girl he used to date. lol Just my luck, so he always jokes about it now.

I've run them for employment and residential history since I used to work in HR and I've managed apartments. Never run any for personal use though.
I do advise folks on how to do it and what services they can use. Funny, people are running background checks for everything from lawsuits against their ex-spouse to "I'm thinking about maybe dating this guy".
