What to do with defective padlocks and their keys

Over the years, we have accumulated some padlocks that no longer work. As a recovering pack rat (LOL!), I'm wondering what crafts I can make using these locks. And since they no longer work, their keys are useless. So, I'm also thinking about what crafts I can use the keys in.
Any suggestions?

Outside of art collection pieces I could not think any other reason.
But maybe you can either go to a locksmith to see if he could use them and or recycling place where you could probably get something for them. This maybe a thought.

We moved around alot and had bunch of differnet house keys and car keys. I kept htem intending to make a wind chime out of them...but of course, never got around to it! But you could do the same with padlock keys, and the locks..depending on how heavy they are!

well you could link it to a chain and use it as a weapon
but joking aside, hmm im not really that imaginative when it comes to this kinds of arts. but i would suggest making a table with it if its that many.
well i got an idea with one of our table, its wood with a glass on top of it but my mother have put coins between the glass and the wood to make it more artful.
