What have you learned about clicking links in your emails?
DON'T EVER CLICK!
Even if it is from someone you know because there's a malicious worm that is attaching to the mails that promotes explicit movies and documents. The malicious e-mail messages have a subject line saying "Here you have" and contain a web link that looks like it connects to a PDF document. Instead it actually links to a website hosting this malicious malware.
The malware access victims' entire Outlook address book. When installed, the worm sends copies of itself to every e-mail address it can find. The worm will also delete your computer's security software so it will remain undetected to carry out its full payload.
It will also find victims by looking for open net links from infected PCs and exploiting the Windows Autorun feature on USB drives and other attached media. In this aspect you should be careful that you try not to operate highly private and confidential tasks like internet banking or financial transactions on other people's computers other than your own.
The worm is wreaking havoc and has claimed quite a number of corporations like NASA, AIG, Disney, Procter & Gamble and Wells Fargo are some that are being hit and having problems containing this situation.
So, let out the word and be aware yourself!

Miner49r,
I don't think Linux is being spared here.
As long as you open these "laced" emails with an unprotected system, your email program will be hacked and system compromised to carry out these spam attacks.
Just be wary and careful at your end.

I read the reference article you cited and it is a good warning. With windows the auto run feature will install just about anything indiscriminately. Fortunately, by default windows malware and viruses will run on linux.
Thanks for posting this. It is good to know what is curculalting around the net so others can protect themselves.
