Friends versus Business Partners

Among all the corporations that are sprouting in the world, majority of them are being managed by friends in real life. They team up with each other and start a business. Some are saying that it is not good if your business partner is your friend because its different to draw the line of relationship.
However, some preferred to have friends to as partners because for them they know each other too well and their business could run smoothly if you can approach them without hesitations.
Which situation would you choose as a business minded person?

When it comes to picking a partners, many see their friends as the obvious choice to share in making your dreams into reality. Bussiness isn't all sunny days, however, & the best way to whether the storms with your friendship intact is to start out with a good umbrella. The most sure-fire way for a group of friends to become better enemies is to go into a partnership under the assumption that friendship conquers all. Friends, & bussiness partner, are only human, & when cash & control enters the equation, frienship can quickly fall by the wayside.
Bringing a business together between friends doesn't have to be the beginning of the end. Proper planning, clear exceptations, & clear communication are the foundation of maintaining both your friendship & a lasting partnership.

well, if your friendship has trust and honesty I guess I would prefer with friends than someone else you don't know what's on their mind.! you are right, with friends you know each other but in the name of business it will succeed if no one betray the corporation!

Hi...Such an intresting queston. I would personally keep friendhip and business seperate, simply because i value my friendships.Although some people have found that balance between business and friendship, in most cases it has not worked out.Sometimes our judgement get cloudy when we have a personal stake in something that goes beyond the business aspect.Theres a saying 'dont mix friendship and money'. With me i would just like as little drama in my life as possible. But hey thats just my opinion.

It is a case to case basis. Sometimes they were friends for some reason like they are school friends or somebody that they have met everywhere but then there are some instances that when they became business partners the true colors revealed as you would realize the true cheater.

If I were a businessman I will choose my friend as my business partner because I have already the trust in him and also his trust in me. To trust someone who is not close is so difficult. In business, it is not only focus on what we know but also on whom we knew. Friends are example of a good asset in a business. There is no chance of doubting my capacity of being a businessman because he knows me on how to do business and also how I act. Building human relationship then is necessary in business because it needs communication and our friend can be our partner in doing so.
