Letters to Juliet, a Romantic movie

I saw this movie last night, and I very much like the idea of writing a letter to Juliet, I guess the movie so - called "Juliet" is not a person, rather a place most girls go visit, and write a broken - heart letter to ask advice; then they posted letter on the wall. This movie is started from this so - called letter from a woman wrote to "Juliet" 50 years ago. An American visitor reply it and find this woman, and help for her long - lost love along this European journey. Along the way, she also found her real love. What a romantic theme.

Hello kingparker,I saw this film in the cinema and thoroughly enjoyed it, it was a lovely easy feel good film to watch. I think you will find that the 'Juliet' they are all writing to is actually Juliet from 'Romeo and Juliet' as the film takes place in the places that Shakespeare set Romeo and Juliet. Juliet is often depicted as one of the most romantic females in literature so they are writing to 'her' in the hope that she will give them an answer to their love problems..though of course it is not actually her that replies, as we know :o)

Thanks for the factual advise here, now I am getting it clear. I always thought that it was a sight seeing place, and people just want to write a poem or broken - heart letter in hope of someone will reply back.

I've seen the movie "Letters to Juliet," too. I actually watch it with my loved one. I think one of the message of the movie is that when it comes to love one must be brave to take the risk and never let the chance to love pass you by especially when you think you've found "the one." life is too short to spend it pining for unanswered "what-ifs" ... and love knows no age...love is for all ages and one is never too old to love... Yeah that was indeed a romantic movie... I felt sorry for "Victor" though...I hope he will also find his one true love, too. hehehe
