So this is what local governments are fixating on. A farmer is growing too much food. being fined $5000, based on zoning laws. So he stopped growing crops this year until he could get rezoned. Which he did. Now the County is prosecuting on the old charges. What do youthink of this? should he be prosecuted? should they leave it alone since he fixed the issue?

What a jerk that prosecutor is! I think this man should ask for a jury trial...good luck convicting him then. It looks like the county is trying to make a buck off of this man, who also gave jobs to two people who I'm sure really needed them, and that stinks.

My perspective is as counties loose more and more money as states become worse off, more counties are looking for more ways to gain revenue. This one of those times when the county will most likely loose and tax dollars will have been wasted again. Just my 2 cents worth!

no,he shouldn't.and they need to stop telling farmers to quit growing so they
can kiss butt with other countries to buy their stuff.that has to be the reason to outsource some food like we do that could be grown here.
they keep leaning on farmers, nobody will bother anymore, and then we'll be totally dependant on other places, which is pretty stupid when it's food involved.
