What do you think will happen in 2012? Could the generalized fear and anxiety of the so called prophecies be a self fulfilling outcome?

Well the most likely thing that will happen in 2012 is a solar flare that may take place in 2012 or early to mid 2013.I think that this will happen as it has happened in the past and caused some problems but with all the modern technology i think that it has a resonable chance of occuring.Stuff about another planet crashing into ours are not really that likely and just a rumor.I'm wondering if I should prepare for the solar storm as it could be as powerful as the one in the 1850's that short circuted telegrah wires.I heard somewhere on a show that it could be 100 times as costly as hurricane Karrina and blackout north america for weeks if not months.

With the recent solar minimum being comparable to normal solar maximums it is a logical concern. I agree that is the most likely outcome. I have read about that same flare back in the 1850's... while they were able to deal with it our modern electronics would crisp.
Preparation is always good, no matter what the circumstance.
