do you think celebrities take their fans for granted? i mean yeah they are pestered by them all the time but without them they wouldnt be famous right?? i remember seeing a director on tmz that cursed out a fan for wanting him to sign something like a day after he said he was so proud of his movie and so grateful for fans he would be happy to sign anything and take photos with them.. it was like wtf! dont tell your fans to approach you then curse them out when they do and accuse them of selling it on ebay when uhhh thats a possibility with anything he would do for the fans.. a lot of celebs have bad reps for being rude to their fans and i havent seen it really hurt their career but still we are the reason they make money so even though it would drive me nuts to have some one come up to me all the time for something id hope i would stop and think that hey they are the reason im famous and grin and bear it!!

Yes, some of them do. I know that Lady Gaga certainly does. The fans are what make these people, and yet most of them don't give damn about there fans. One celebrity that I have met from Star Trek: The Original Series, was a major diva to her fans. She had a nasty attitude around her fans, and she wasn't the only one. Adam West had a bad attitude as well when I met him at Anaheim Comic Con. He thought that he was just better than everyone, and he was so rude to most of his fans. There are some celebs who love their fans and who will take the time to actually talk to them. Ed Asner, in my opinion, was really nice and he didn't have that Hollywood attitude. He was real genuine and he is actually happy that people still remember "The Mary Tyler Moore Show". He also loves talking to his fans. You tend to find out who is nice and who to avoid in Hollywood.

Yeah, one of my friends met Johnny Depp and told me that wasn't a very pleasant experience. There is that saying "never meet your idol" because you may not like what you see.

Sure, celebrities can take their fans for granted. Anyone can. But, there's a flip side. I think some fans tend to have the attitude that "we made you. We own you." I disagree with that. I would personally be very wary about approaching a celebrity for an autograph. Not because I'm afraid they'd be rude, but because I wouldn't want to bother them. Sure, I'm part of the reason they're famous, but I would think that I wouldn't want some stranger approaching me out of the blue. Especially if I was having a bad day or was feeling down or just was busy. Some fans don't think of that and think famous people are always required to be attentive and smiling whenever they're approached. To me, the celebrities already paid me back for making them famous by the work they do. I'd probably only ask someone for an autograph if it was at an event where the person was there for the purpose of meeting fans or signing autographs. Then, they are there in a public capacity and you're not disturbing a private citizen. Which, they are, even if they're famous. All a celebrity owes me, beyond the actual product (which they already gave, or I wouldn't be a fan) is the same amount of courtesy I'd ask anyone to give. Anything else is a bonus and a privilege. Of course, celebrities can handle things badly themselves. I don't think there's anything wrong with politely declining to sign an autograph, when you're just out for the day. There could be a very good reason. Even though I'm sure some people would take even the most polite refusal as an insult. But, if you start cursing someone out who simply asks for one, especially if they ask politely, then you're being rude and pompous. If you're screaming at people completely unprovoked, then that's bad behavior.

ya know its funny im not one to hunt out celebs for pics and autographs because i have heard so many horror stories my social anxiety makes me worry ill get an evil one and they will yell at me lol.. that and if they dont look as great as they do on tv (which is impossible anyways) or have an attitude i wont be able to enjoy their work.. if its music its easier but if they are a movie star and they ruin their rep with being rude that could affect a lot of movies with good people in it and well im a movie lover!!

No, I don’t think so. While its true that many celebrities are caught misbehaving with their fans or with the media, its mostly when they are caught unawares or are just not in the mood for any kind of publicity. Even they are humans too, so its not that they can wear that plastic smile all the time. But I’m sure they value their fans very much as celebrities are only worth as their fans.

i think they can after they have been famous for so long, but it can depend on how famous they are. some famous people who are so use to the attention after so long and then find their star power dieing off or fading can go crazy because their so use to being treated special.

thats true.. some of the ones that seem to be good about fans are ones that were really famous and dropped off the radar and are making a comeback or just still well known..

I do believe that most celebrities do appreciate their fsns. without the growing support of their fans, they would not be where they are today. i think most celebritities know that

i think they all usually think that at the beginning and hopefully they still keep that in mind as they grow in popularity

That is the reason when I am rooting for a celebrity I make sure that it has still something to do with an attitude because sometimes there are other celebrities that tend to be rude with his/her fans. I only trust the celebrities that are came from the reality TV show. Actually I've been a fan that turns out we became her friend but she is not that so popular although she is a big winner of this reality TV show that every one respects her.

i think it depends on the reality show.. some people are getting reality shows that totally dont deserve it and are obnoxious thinking they are beyond famous till their show ends and then they disappear

Well here is the other side of that. It involves an athlete, Bobby Jackson of the Sacramento Kings. My daughter cheered for the team his nephew played football on. She also attended school with him and the shared classes over the years. Whenever Bobby Jackson was at the games, which was many (he raised this boy as his own), he would sit in the bleachers away from others just him and his family to try and watch his nephew play football. Every game he was bothered by fans. I just find that so wrong. It also when there were school functions that he attended. There is a time and place for autographs and asking questions and it's not when a celebrity be it an actor, musician or athlete is trying to enjoy the day with his/her family. Can you imagine how the nephew felt, here he was trying to play his best and then talk to his Uncle after the game. "Did you see the play I made?" and the Uncle replies "No, I was signing autographs." How wrong is that. The time and place are at signing events, or public speaking engagements. When they are promoting a movie and their out touring the talk shows. That is my feeling on the subject and perhaps a different side to the coin. Now if I saw John Travolta everything above I said above has just gone out the window. LOL

too bad you dont get to be able to flip a switch and turn the celebrity off.. i think if i was a celebrity i would avoid like high school reunions etc just because of all the hassle

I believe that many celebrities do take their fans for granted. I think that in the beginning of their careers they are thankful of the fans and the tremendous support that the fans provide, but after a movie or two or an album or two, I believe that they assume that all is good and that they are well loved and will never have to worry about anything after that.

Famous people trade their fame for privacy. They can't go out and do normal things so they buy a big house on a hill and make people take pictures of their front gate. I've been to the Hollywood hills, I wasn't impressed with too much of their seclusion. I know that fans make a celebrity and they should be appreciative of that, and not just on award shows.

Yes, I do think that some of them actually do take their fans for granted. I think that they don't always realize how important the fans are to do their being where they are. I don't think that this is the case for every celebrity, but I do think that this is probably the case for a lot of them.

hi , what do you think , people who are famous and have plenty of money and fans who are going crazy on them would do with their fans. Do you thing these celebs would care for their fans. Maybe there are few who would care, but most of them don't care a bit. They think they are Gods.

whats funny is some that think they are gods really are just temporary celebs that in a few years no one will have thought about.. i find it funny because everyone talked about meagan fox all the time because of the transformers movies and then after that she hasnt had a hit movie (That i know of) that has made a ton of money and shes pretty much been forgotten especially now thats shes married.. just goes to show you you never know how long it will last
