I use and love AbeBooks.com
At one time I used this site heavily to sell some very rare books and found they offered the most competitive payouts and pricing for purchases as well. Happy Reading! BTW have you ever check out shelfari.com

I looked at abebooks but they don't allow you to pay without a credit card. I checked out shelfari too and it's pretty cool. I've never seen a website like that before.

I thought you could negotiate how to pay with the people you are buying from? Are you looking for something in specific or just a site that sells books that lets you pay with pay pal. I love books and I love that there are people in the world still reading. I'm sorry if the information was not solid, I will get back to you with a more concert solution. I come from a family of bibliophiles:)

You might be right. I was looking for a site with a specific book that I could buy using paypal, but I found the book on ebay for cheap. I love books, too. I have a personal library that I'm always adding to.

I like buying books from Amazon. I can choose various kinds of books from it. The search is useful. And I can find many books. Amazon provides me a good discount than a normal bookstore. I can buy books cheaper from Amazon and the delivery fee is free of charge. If I buy over RMB100 of books, then I can have 10% discount. I like paying by my credit card although I can choose to pay for my books in cash when they delivery to me.

I have used amazon before and I like that they have almost every book, but you can't use paypal to pay amazon.

Alibris.com allows you to use paypal. You can also use a debit card on most sites that offer credit cards as a means of payment. Alibris has some good books, good deals too. You can buy two books from the same author and get discounted shipping, some books offer free shipping.
