Well, Let me just point this out that there are some Pinoys can be racist too, but i like to show how much also exist in these other countries.some even believed to have the right to hate just because of that never ending incident which should have been put to closure by ordinary people and let the law finds a solutions. i don't want to put this at first but i just can't get it off my mind. I know you're going to say that discrimination is every where. but i still need to share a few. most specially when it involves my people. I have come to watch this movie about racial discrimination "somewhere" .well, it seemed that even before that "hostage incident" such problem already existed. and filipinos are not the one suffering from it. other ethnic groups too. not a referral link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qNsfqNA6E9k that can be tolerable since it's coming out of their mouths. but what about business establishments only allows a those who only lived in that country. like they're only allowed here, you're not allowed here and there... Not a referral link either. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ox4E7b99KWQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AkuVHKlfUy0 http://www.debito.org/roguesgallery.html I don't even need to asked..don't worry i won't do the same. that is their "mistake"

It is a shame that in todays world there can be discrimination in some countries. Today I saw a documentary about Manila the capital city of the Philippines. It is getting very crowded and some of the people have set up home in a shanty town. I am sure that it is not right to discriminate against another person. In some countries they have a class system of upper class, middle class and working class. I don't like racism because I think all people should be equal. Black people are just as good as white people. I visited Cape Town in 2009 and in the past there was a nasty time when black people didn't have the same rights as the white people. Even though that awful time has ended some of the people live in poor townships. Going to and from Cape Town Airport shanty towns can be seen. I made a point of visiting a poor town ship to support making these people's lives better. I don't like the system of visas. I think having a passport should be enough. In an establishment then other nationalities should be able to go there and treated well.

Filipino has also a lot biases among its people. In every region with different ethnicity and traditions tend to be biased. It is better to look oneself than to comment on others opinion.

hi letran well I am not going to say its everywhere so we just live with it as the only way to stop discrimination is to stop the others around us who spout off with mean discriminatory jokes, say stop that if you want my company. Then practice what one preaches, do not discriminate one race against another, one religion against another or even thin people discriminating against those who are overweight.

Well, I guess, those racists are going backwards with civilization. In today's globalized community, we should not put place for racism. We are one BIG global village, living in peaceful co-existence, regardless of race and backgrounds. We are not in Hitler's time anymore. We are no longer in Milosevic's time anymore. I guess, those racists forget about what we have learned in the past, the tragedies racism have brought the world, that racism can do us no good. We must move on and press for a better, brighter future.

I think it's present everywhere but it's very sad that its very common in that place...I think that you should still stand proud even if you are discriminated as long as you are not doing anything wrong. Anyway, they are the ones who lack understanding and are narrow minded. It is them who pulls themselves down or destroy themselves by discriminating. Discriminating doesn't lift their race up but it only brings them down more. They can say bad words against someone but they don't know that they ruin themselves by that.

There is discrimination of every kind everywhere, but you just have to learn to fight back against it. Just learn to let go of the hate.

Racial discrimination is indeed a problem. Like so many of the problems the world faces, the solution is always started by each and every individual by changing their own views.

you are right. i am going to tell you that this exists in almost every part of the world. nothing new. if the point you are trying to make is how this will end, it will not. as long as there are people who feel and believe they are superior than other people.

hello letran, I did not open the links, but,i want to state my opinion about racism. It is an individual thinking and ignorance or maybe personal experience that lead one person to hate someone from a particular race or country. Well,we can never please everyone, and, ignorance is generalizing the whole nation/country with the mistake or shortcoming by a group of people or an individual error. But,if someone is knowledgeable, matured personally and professionally no one will be treated bad by racism. Let them point their fingers and soon they'll realized they are pointing it to themselves as well. Have a good day always dear brother

For me you can't stop that feeling to the individual to say that way because it is the attitude planted by Satan in this world so that they are not friend they are not united then when Armageddon came they are both ruin by Jehovah God.

One day we have talked about that incident and as what my brother and mother told me that even the same nationality are fighting with each other. I have known some Pinoys that are racist as well in the sense that they don't like their child to marry the black person. Take note that Pinoy is not living here in the Philippines anymore but in USA. Does he ever thought that Filipinos are being discriminated too in other countries? What I could still understand is the fact that we Filipinos are discriminated in other countries. I just find it weird when foreigners that are here in our country or even half Filipinos with half other Asian are discriminating the Filipinos here to the extent that they are prohibiting their child to have a relationship with Filipinos . In the first place they shouldn't be here if that is the case and they must go back with their own world if they don't want their kid to have relationship or marry a Filipino. We are not suppose to kiss and glorify the foreigners in the first place in our homeland.

I'm a Pinoy and I know some people who think it's okay to be racist because people are always discriminating us already. I mean, it really happens, and as long as the kids of today are continuously being brought up with today's values, there wouldn't be a huge change for a good long time. I've worked for a NGO that helps Indigenous Peoples with their issues and such, and I must say, they're some of the most passionate and smartest collective you'll ever see. This is why I'm deeply saddened by racist comments and stupid snide remarks about people being "from the mountains." These remarks are genuinely insensitive and naive. Maybe it's self-preservation or whatever. But, heck, it does happen.

We can never take away racial discrimination, it is always present everywhere we go. No matter what race you are from. But mostly, victims of racial discrimination are black americans, asians. Although some incidence of white people do have but very rarely. Lets just hope to ourselves that this would stop, that we all should be treated the same. Because we, in the first place, are humans. I even see people discriminating their own countrymen. And that is just so sad to see. We should love one another and cherish the life that is given to us.

That's life. Yes, I agree, some of our people can also be racist. Some name calls some locals of other countries. Some people calls the chinese " intsik" when it should be " chinese" For Chinese, " intsik" is not nice to be called. Sometimes Pinoys can also be harsh to another pinoys..

There is always discrimination everywhere. We just have to accept that other people love doing it and sometimes its in there system to be a racist. We can't do anything about it. What we should do is to be strong no matter what other people will say unto us. We will be hurt, sometimes we even cry, but if we keep ourselves down because of what other people say about our ethnicity, then we will not grow and we will never be proud of who we are. Have a good day! ;)
