You name it...Avast,AVG,Kaspersky,Mcaffee etc...just want to know which one is the best.I found only one conclusion.Buy it!. You will get fully protection. No matter you use the crack one or free trial it's useless.Sometimes I use two antivirus at the same time but it's make my computer run slowly.

Hello aziera, Currently, I am using Norton antivirus software. I am using it free from Comcast cable, while using their Internet service. I have used Norton for about 7 months on a new laptop too. I will rate it 10. Yes, I have used the free antivirus, but if you forget to renew, any virus that is in the vault will be released. In addition, when I took my computer in for service, they would install free antivirus, but I think it would be bootleg because it did not stop the viruses. At any rate, it pays to get the best antivirus to protect your computer. :)

In an effort not duplicate this response, I just wanted to add that I use Norton's Symantec Endpoint as I worker on a server. I have it for 5 years and it is the best based on all the programs I have used. However what Iequate is stating is so true. I have another PC at home and Comcast does give you the Norton's anti-virus and it measures up equally with my Endpoint. So I would look into this one. Also do not run two virus programs simultaneous on your pc it does make it very, very slow and one conflicts with the others updates.

Hi,i once used KV300,rising,kaspersky and symantic. Well, the first two you may never heard, because they are products in china. Now in the computer at home, i am using kaspersky to kill virus.I think it is a very good one. But in office, since we are not allowed to install other antivirus software,we have been using symantic for many years.

I have AVG's free version on my computer and I have never had any troubles at all, the only thing is you need to remember to update it once in a while or it gets out of age :) Happy Mylotting.

I assemble and troubleshoot PCs as a hobby for free! I personally prefer and recommend free antivirus to people. I am currently using AVG free. Coupled with a good browser like Mozilla Firefox, I really have no problems using AVG free. As for the number of times I change it, I change every time a new version comes up just so that I can get 1st hand experience and decide whether to recommend it to others or not! Never use 2 antiviruses at a time. It creates unnecessary conflicts. Stick to only one reputed brand.

Even I had two anti-virus softwares, avast and AVG. But now I kept only avast. It is very useful and easily finds out trojans and viruses.

according to my opinion kaspersky is the best and about viruses none of the antivirus could protect your computer completely .... try to use linux os it is safer.

hi aziera! of course you will get better protection if you purchase it!and please don't use multiple antivirus on your laptop or computer.it isn't right at all!back to may college time i had changed my antivirus a few times and recently stick to one and only avira.it doesn't matter what brand of antivirus you had as long as i can get minimum protection that's fine with me.TATA

I have tried a couple of them, including what u have mentioned here. I'm using AVG now and it's good enough for me. Mcaffee is quite useless to me, as it does not help at all! Norton is the best of them all, but we have to pay in order to get the full protection from it. Initially, i have the wrong idea about norton, because i thought they are just trying to scam people of their money by coming up with different versions every year. But after what my friend explained to me, only then i realise the reason behind it. BUt still, i'm not going to use it, as it's not free.

There are several anti-virus is slowing the performance of your pc like norton and McAfee, but it also depends on his pc specs. I used to use AVG from safe, I always update at least 1x a week. No problems so far nothing. As long as you diligently update it I think there will be no problem because the virus that is always evolving. Question for you, where the virus first with anti-virus?

I don't change my antivirus software as much as I should. I usually just stick to one and I renew it when I can.

How many times? More than six from 2000. The problem was no anti-virus software remain the best all the time. At the same time the number of virus and other malware increases at a fast rate. Some software became bloated Some require a high system specification to work well. Most anti-virus software vendors display the result of their respective software in deetecting viruses currently in the wild. Unfortunately many failed to even pass a proactive challenge test. In this test each software is attacked with possible attack techniques, meaning the software cannot rely on its virus database. At the moment I am using one which has passed the usual test by Trusted Labs, and the proactive challenge test by Matousec.

The best choice is not using any of those antivirus at all. I didn't use any of them, and I still download a lot of medias online. I hope that is not a bad advice. If you are still skeptical, pick any of those software might be the same. One day, they might release some virus that no software can defend.

I use mostly free versions. AVG for my desktop and McAffee for my laptop. I don't hold a lot of credence with them, since the moment they are developed, they're out of date. Still, some protection is better than none.

I only installed one antivirus but I usually run automatic updates for it and I haven't encountered any problem at all. I used AVG and I don't change it once I have installed it.
