These majestic animals were nearly 0.3 million in number in India alone, just 50 years ago!But such has been the hectic pace of man's destruction frenzy! ( Which is known as Constructive among the Civilised! ) Humanity's demands exceed our planet's capacity to sustain us!The Hunter has now become the hunted, with only 3000 tigers left in the wild and many of it's species like the Bali Tigers are dead as a dodo!!It's not only the tigers that are endangered, it's our very planet which is under Siege... Come let us make efforts in salvaging whatever is left of this bountiful earth for our progeny!

Thank you my friend! Yes... People like us, not only us, everybody should help in saving this planet. I love tigers and I've been involved in this cause since my school days! I'm an amateur Photographer... Those photos of North India that I've added are mine. Great interacting with you! By the way, I think I've seen you in NGC or Discovery... Is it true?

Tiger at Mysore Zoo, India - Photographed at Mysore Zoo, India
Population is increasing at such an enormous number, I wonder whether any place will be left for animals to live on their own. In the name of saving animals, people bring the animals to a reserved area (Bannerghatta National Park), in the name of feeding food for the animals (meat), they eat the meat, not even 25% of the meat meant for animals is made available. Wherever human beings step in, there is danger for nature, there is a problem for living creatures. Conservation of endagered species should be taken up on war footing. Your topic is quite interesting. My wife name is Adiga and we are from Bangalore.

Have to agree with whatever you've said... Man seems to be the problem... I'm pained at the prospect of seeing them only in Photographs and listening to their resounding roar only on a Music Paraphernalia! It's roar is supposed to be heard till a radius of 2 kms! Hey, there's every chance that we might be in some way related... I'm Sanketh and I'm too from Bangalore... Are u there on Orkut?
