Thankfully, the Good Book has given us 5 solid ways to identify those who truly believe. This is clearly stated in Mark 16:17, as follows: 17: And these signs shall follow them that believe: In my name shall they cast out devils They shall speak with new tongues 18: They shall take up serpents and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover So translations may differ slightly, but basically we have 5 clear signs that believers should display: 1. Cast out devils (or demons) 2. Speak in new tongues 3. Take up serpents (Work with snakes) 4. Drink any poison with no ill effects. Yes, ANY poison. 5. Lay hands on the sick, and heal them like Jesus did. So if you believe in Jesus, how many of these 5 do you have? (I have none, I'm not a Christian )

I was born Christian but gave it up as a young man. I felt that Science should be able to support Religion and that Religion should be able to support Science. Neither was happening so I left religion, and have never looked back. Religion is a man-made, Scam of gigantic proportions, dreamed up to create Power and Money. God Knows its been a supreme success, all the while fighting countless holy wars, and murdering millions in the name of Jesus Christ!

1. yep, threw her out then divorced her. 2. You should hear me when my sugar is low. 3. Love em...used to have a pet rattler. 4. Survived my ex wifes cooking, how much worse could it get? 5. Usually when I lay hands on people they end up hurting MORE, so I guess I blew it...

i can't say i believe you as i would have to read the bible and see this for my self. if this is a case i'm not a christian either. i've always had the mindset God gave the serpents poison so they could defend themselves and that was reason enough not to touch them. also who in their right mind would drink poison anyway?

I do believe in Jesus. All believers should have that or do that because it is written in a holy bible. In 5 ways you said I have 3 of this. Cast out demons, speak in new tongues and lay hands on the sick. The two categories the taking up snakes or serpents and drinking any poisons is not yet happening to me.

1. How many "demons" have you cast out until now ? What kind of demons/devils were they ? 2. The "new tongues" you speak, do they mean anything, or HOW exactly are they different from gibberish? I mean I've seen some "tongues" videos on youtube, I could learn to do that as well today if I wanted 3. This is my favorite btw. How many people have you "laid your hands" on, and how many have gotten better? In other words, what's your healing % , out of 100? And also what sort of afflictions were those? I hope not the kind that get better anyway, like the common cold ? Many thanks for sharing, always good to see new hope of actual proof

Yes I believe in Jesus, the son of God, who is referenced to in John 3:16. I have no reason to fake it because God sees and knows everything. Believers are told in 2 Timothy 2:15 to study and rightly divide the word of truth. Hosea 4:6 says that God's people are destroyed because of lack of knowledge. The enemy, devil, knows this and often times takes a verse out of context to test God's children. The scripture in Mark refers to signs following believers, not labels that show proof of believers of Christ.

OK, so then these 5 signs should then "follow" believers, to some extent, even if not all 5 for every single believer. Am I right? And if that's what you're saying, then how often do you see the 5 signs among your fellow believers (especially priests, monks, and old people who have spent an entire lifetime "believing" should stand out here)

I really don't look for the signs because they are for the non-believers. (Before I became a Christian, I looked at the believers for signs of weakness so that I could use it as a reason to not to become one). Anyone who is involved in the Great Commission,(Mark 16: 14-20), will have had some type of experience(test) that are evidenced by some or all of these signs. A lifetime of believing is also a life full of testimonies.

I believe in the historical accuracy of a man name Jesus living during the time that the Christians believe the Savior walked the earth. As for the ways to know, I can speak a second language, which would be speaking with new tongues. So i guess I am just faking it.

Well many people in the world speak all sorts of languages, I for one speak 3 in total, others speak more, so I guess at least in the linguistic sense, we got more and more people who are "saved", Hallelujah :P
