BABY OUT!!! but...

wow. it was such a relief to see a baby got out of her mother's womb. after a few hours of seeing the mother struggle to push and resist the pain, there it is. well, i am not the mother, but i am so much joyful. how much more would the joy of the mother be.
but after a second of getting into the real thing, i found out that the baby has cleft palate. the family has no resources to afford an operation. poor child. :(

I think that the baby should get help to feed if it is difficult for him or her. Maybe the family could have the operation to correct the cleft palate done by a charity. If not perhaps they could save some money until they have enough money for the operation.
I live in a country that has a free public health service. Three years ago I had a home birth and my son was born with spina bifida and hydrocephalus. He spent three weeks in the special baby care unit in the hospital. He had an operation to close the hole in his back on the day he was born and two weeks later an operation to insert a shunt into his head.

Perhaps the family can hook up with an organization that performs those surgeries for free, like Operation Smile. I hope they look into something like that. I'm glad the baby was otherwise healthy. And I hope the joy of the baby continues despite the deformity.
