The first round of results from Champions League yesterday were: FC Twente 2 - 2 Inter Bremen 2 - 2 Tottenham Lyon 1 - 0 Schalke Benfica 2 - 0 Tel Aviv Man U 0 - 0 Rangers Bursapor 0 - 4 Valencia Barcelona 5 - 1 Panathinaikos Kobenhavn 1 - 0 Rubin Which of these results stands out for you? For me it is Rangers who came away with a creditable point at Old Trafford. Cheers! Ram

inter play bad and i dont think inter to be a strong candidates for winner champions league..i dont know why hotspurs waste their winning and only get 1 points when meet werder bremen...nice to see again rafael van de vart in champions league level..i do hope RVD can bring hotspurs qualify in second round...two thumbs for barca and valencia..make spain smile

Yes, I agree that under Rafa it is going to be difficult for Inter to emulate the achievements that they had under Mourinho. As far as Tottenham is concerned it was the four minutes of madness that caused them the points. That clearance from Ekotto which led to the first goal was awful that too under no pressure at all!! Cheers! Ram

Give me a gold star teacher. I picked the same match. Isn't Man U suppose to blow up Everyone? Are The Rangers this good? or is Man U that bad? Or is it they just happen to be well matched?

Given :). I think Man U has endured a slow start to the season. But in the weekend they beat Liverpool 3-2 to show signs of getting back to the best. Cheers! Ram

it`s too hard for inter i think..they are now more weaker than last season..only got 1 point in twente home..what about if they must come to bremen and tottenham hotspurs home? salute for valencia, even they lost several stars like david silva and david villa...

Yes, Valencia got a great result, but arguably against a weaker opposition. The other Valencia on display i.e. the Man U winger had a completely different kind of game with being stretchered off with an horrific injury which will definitely rule him out for the rest of the season. Apart from the 0-0 draw that is what would have really hit SAF very hard!! Cheers! ram

even opponent of valencia, but it suprising valencia can win with a bigger score in their opponents home...manchester united must warn and be careful if meet valencia. current valencia is so different without david silva and david villa..many a new player can influence and change the style of valencia playing

I always love to see these so called second rung clubs give the bigger clubs a run for their money. I hope Valencia can do it regularly this season. Cheers! Ram
