Hi guys!? I'm always hearing these superstitious beliefs spoken by our old folks. Example of such are: broken mirrors reflects seven years of bad luck; don't let a black cat cross your path for they will bring bad luck; don't fit/wear your wedding gown before your wedding or else it will be cancelled; accidents will mostly occur at Friday the 13th; and etc... When I happened to come across these statements, my mind was flooded with many questions ...are these superstitions true?? Do these present any rational explanation?? Why do some people believe in such thing?? In our modern world, do people still believe in superstitions??.. come to think of it..

Hi. amartinezA. Welcome to myLot! Well I do believe in certain superstitions. For the ones that I wonder about, I try to avoid as much as possible. I don't want to think about come across these superstitions because I worry that I may get in a mess with one of them.

No, not at all. I studied at university, and since then I only believe in things that can be proven scientifically.
